    is this a bumblebee ?
this lil guy is on craigslist for a great deal but im not very good with spiders and bumblebees and i certainly can not tell the difference between a spider and a low quality bumble bee but here is the pic i think :P

The one on the right is a bumble bee, the one on the left is a pastel

i missed a great deal on that 500 gram female pastel for 90$ and the only reason it was that price is because he thought the going price for a pastel was about 120 dollars :( i almost cried

how can you tell the difference between a low quality/browned out bumblebee and a spider

I don't have a spider to show you for comparison, but you can see the yellow on the underside a bit, in the one in your picture. And their head is lighter with markings, that is my bee in my avatar, see her head? Here is a picture of her too

Look at the head. Bumblebee heads will be faded not brown.

That snake on the right is 100% a bee. Definetly not a spider

If it was just a Spider, I'd pick it up. It'd be a nice Spider.

Nope, no spider. It's a bee. Just a browned out one.

x2. If you look at the head of the snake on the right you can definitely see the slight fading. Classic bee. If you look at pictures of spiders you won't see any fading at all. Good looking snake.

Congrats on your new additions. That seems a bit pricey for a bee that is that small, male, and that browned out already though......

Looks like he could use a few rats too.

The bee is on the right he is just browned out, but a bee for sure the pastel gene lightens the pattern on the head, so that is the first thing you want to look at. Second do you see the tan color on the back that is typical pastel gene browning out regular spiders are darker than that.

Price is just fine for that quality to, I paid 500 shipped for my boy I'll show picks some time when I figure all that out, but he almost has no brown at all and he is around 600 grams.

Yes you have yourself a bumblebee on the right - 100% positive. The head pattern is a dead give away.

    Pastel left, Bee right.

The color is simply wrong for a spider. Even the best spiders will be golden yellow, not that grayish faded tone. Lesser quality spiders will be just plain brown.
