    Stress.
my ball has literally been roaming his cage now for about 24 hours, the only thing that has happened is that he left a urate ball i cleaned everything up.

the temps are not too good ATM but its been like that for about 2-3 days which i am trying to fix but when i get the temps normal it still doesn't change anything he just continues to roam.

Those are surface or ambient? What are you using to test it? Gauge or temp gun?

He wants out again since he escaped and tasted the free world! Haha!

The temps sound good. If it has two dark hides, water, good humidity I don't know why it would be overly active. Did you change the substrate?

That's right, I forgot. You mount your probe to your Herman.

I'm really at a lose. I have heard keepers say that after changing the substrate type the snakes will be very active for a while but it seems like it would have settled down by now. Maybe ball up a towel(cloth) to give it something to go into and hide. Maybe the paper towels have it feeling unsecure. To flat, no texture, can't curl up in them. Don't really know what to tell you.
