Merci, kael! Mais je ne parle pas bien parce que je ne peux pas trouver souvent les mots juste. :) J'ai etudie francais dans quatre ans, mais j'ai forgotton mes leçons. C'est pas mal pour l'americaine, je suppose. ;)

Carl: That's (approximately) "Thanks, kael! But i don't speak well because I can't find the right words. I studied French for four years, but I've forgotten my lessons. It's not so bad for an American, I suppose."

Je etudie francais, Je ne parle pas bien.

I know the basics. I can read french and get the general idea, but when it comes to speakinging it I'm not too bad.

I'm much better at reading it than writing or speaking it myself, John, though low standards helped me make A's and B's in it all the way through. Thank goodness for people who don't have he gift of gab. ;)

Carl, I'm going to guess that was Korean based on my limited experience with it?

Ok, enough with the secret coded words!

Welcome aboard, Kael! Those are some beautiful ball pythons you have! Do you successfully breed them (like...on purpose), or just kind of let nature take its course?

Welcome to the forum! They aren't kidding when they say it's the friendliest around...it really is. Your snakes are beautiful! I'm looking forward to seeing more of them...

Since everyone is showing off second languages, I thought I'd show off some sign-language, but it doesn't come across in type very well! 8)

Hey JLC, I can "speak" basically fluent sign language. I took it 6th grade, then 9,10,11,12 grade. I love it. :)But I'm with you, I think it'll be kind of hard to show people over the net, lol.

Carl, very cool. I had a couple of Korean friends in school and picked up "gahm sa hamn ne da" and "an young ha se yo" and a couple of other phrases I've since forgotten. :) How to spell any of it, i have NO idea.

Judy and Jennifer, there are a couple of sign-language fonts if you're interested, but they are very limited, as you'd expect, requiring fingerspelling most words. That's great that you were able to study it so long, Jennifer. In my schools it was only offered in 6th and 7th grade, and then only because one of the teachers happened to be fluent.

That's cool, though, that they took advantage of the opportunity. My teacher who was fluent had a profoundly deaf sister and had learned ASL along with her when they were young. The poor sister would drop by the school occasionally and be greeted by 30 12-year-olds waving to get her attention and all signing at the same time. She was very patient, though. :)

Temps are giving me a Headache again!!
    Cong a nong yong o u gong u e song song tong hong i song long a nong gong u a gong e?

    Gut u e sut sut yut o u cut a nut tut. Tut hut i sut i sut a mut a dut e u put lut a nut gut u a gut e.

The two above are made up languages that me and my little brother made up when we were kids because our Mom and Dad allways spoke pig latin and we couldnt understand it at the time. So we made these up to talk around them.
All you do is add either ong or ut to consonants and leave the vowel's as they are.

    i.e. Cong a rong long = CARL
Cut a rut lut = Carl
