    First year breeders
Well it's my first year breeding and I have one clutch that's due in 2 1/2 weeks, I'm getting excited. Pairing is a lesser x normal. The eggs are just starting to dimple and when candled I can see little bodies moving around.

So in my excitement I would love to hear what other first time breeders are expecting. I want to share my excitement!

First year as well. What I was going for

    albino x ph albino female
    albino x albino
    het pied x het pied
    lesser x two normal females

possible het laid very early in the season got 4 eggs something went wrong with two of them (developed but died before hatching)
albino x albino - didn't think she was going to go but she possible might (slight swell)
het pied female was not interested, male definitely was interested but one doesn't create babies
didn't think either of my normal females was going to go so I listed them for sale- Both ended up dropping eggs, thank goodness I only sold one. Still upset though.

So for my first year had I kept my entire collection I would have had every single one of them go (if albino goes) except for my het pied girl and huge spider girl (she was still thin from the guy I got her) Ended up selling the het pieds (now I wish I didn't, could of gone later)

So a little upset that it could of been better but if the 4 out of the 6 eggs I got out of normal turns out healthy Ill be happy.

Edit-possible het didn't prove out, but did give me strange offspring

Then in early 2014 Ill be making CinnaPins, CinnaSpins, Bumble Bees, Killer Bees, CinnaBees, Spinners, who knows what else!

Those are quite a few pairings you had going! I only had 2 females ready last season. This season I will have 2 more up to size.

I know what you mean about selling a snake then regretting it later. That always sucks but its a learning experience I suppose.

What was interesting about your hatchlings to the het that didnt prove out?

Breed that poss het again, you could have just had bad odds!

I have 2 clutches due on July 8 & 9th. UV already cut, and I'll share 2 pictures for y'all.

This is a lesser for sure, the stripe down the back is definitely from the dad.

I THINK this is a pastel lesser, I'm almost certain that it is, though only time will tell.

    I cant wait!

:D Its been a long time coming! Seems like its gone fast now that I have less than 3 weeks left. Hope time goes by quickly! I've got my rats paired up and should have some perfect litters of babies just in time for the hatchlings after they shed.
I'm just so excited to be able to see what I get as odds and to see what they look like.
    Its such an exciting time!

I've got bigger plans for next season, I've got my silver bullet now and he'll breed my pastel and spider females, plus my normals. All of these breedings arent happening at the same time, my male isnt a machine after all!
Next year will be like christmas! :D

your 2014 pairing will be super fun!

Love the stripe on the hatchling in the first pic!
And that second one sure looks like a pastel lesser to me! :gj:

I just cant wait until my cut day!

I would love to see photos of your hatchlings once out of the eggs!
    Congrats

It was our first year breeding aswell. We ended up with 2 clutches and still one more female that we are waiting on to possibly lay.
Our first clutch we had humidity issues and ended up having 3 babies die in the egg and 2 more within a few hours of coming out of the egg. So it was definitely rough. But we ended up with 1 female normal and 1 female Spider!
Clutch 2 we just cut yesterday and the outcome has been much better! Pairing was our Pinstripe female breed by our Spider and Pastel males. The boob egg went bad very early and 1 other went bad with a couple weeks left. So we had 5 goods eggs. The results look like we ended up with 2 Spinners, 1 Spider and 2 Normals!
It has definitely been a huge learning experience for us, but the hatchings we do have and the ones that should start making their way out of the eggs in the next couple days make it well worth while!

She came out very bright compared to the other 3. I will like to see her progression. I though I was going to go in a different direction that albino's so I let go of my albino male. Hopefully the albino female drops some eggs and if any of the offspring looks strange I can guess the male albino caused it.

I wont be breeding until this fall but I thought I would just throw in what my plans are for the coming season:

I have 3 big normal girls proven breeders from Garrick that I will pair to my Spinnerblast and for good measure probably throw in my pastel male as a back up I guess. Then I am hoping that my pastel pos het pied girl will be ready by February to pair to my pied male which I am super stoked about this pairing to see if she proves! I just cant wait and all my other girls that I have wont be ready for atleast a couple years but I am looking forward to all of my future breedings a couple in particular!!

Just cut this one because I couldn't tell what it was, he/she was already poking it's head it of the egg sack and flicking it's little tongue. Im pretty sure this is a citrus whiteout just by how clean he/she is, along with the head blushing that you can't see ATM. I can't wait until these little worms are out of the egg. Let me know what ya think.

This is technically my first year since its my first clutch ever but I bred my pastel lesser to my spider so Im hoping to hit the odds and get a queenbee. I got 8 eggs so I have a good chance but really Im just hoping they are all healthy they should be hatching in about a week. Lol i already started counting down the days.

The only females I had up to size this year were 4 normals. They've bred to my mojave, pastel, and spider. The one bred to my mojave is due to lay today, shes been spending a lot of time laying in weird positions. I'm keeping my fingers crossed!
