She was ALL inverted and twisted like a pretzel, but straightened out a bit before I grabbed the camera... you can still see how low those eggs are, so I'm thinking any day now. Her official "due date" is around July 12th, based on her June 16th pre-lay shed. Any guesses on when and how many she'll lay? I'm going with June 8th & 8 eggs - lucky 8s! :)

Yikes... if that's the case, I'd better go find some vermiculite tomorrow! Just realized I'm out of Hatch-rite, and clearly there's no time for ordering online.

Poor girl! Hope it's soon but only after you've gotten the Hatch Rite, lol! I'll say the 10th and 6 eggs. What was the pairing?

I found vermiculite at Lowes with no added chemicals or fertilizer that I used for last years clutch (my first) and it worked great.
Just saying if she pops before you get your hatch rite.

Predictions are noted, and thanks for the Lowe's recommendation... I'll see if there's one nearby, and get something in the next day or two.

I honestly can't remember if she was with anyone else (didn't keep good records this year), but I know she locked with Vinnie the Spider a few times. So it's nothing "fancy," but they would be my first Spiders! :)

P.S. Since it's hard to tell her size in the photo, Mona weighed over 3000g before ovulating - and her last clutch (2 years ago) had 6 good eggs & 1 slug. So that guess of 10 eggs could be right!

His full name is actually Vincentio (most of my BPs have Shakespearean names - and "Mona" is short for Desdemona), but I thought "Vinnie the Spider" had a nice gangster ring to it... goes well with his mustache, LOL.

So far, this is the most accurate statement - and my guess was waaaaay off, LOL. Believe it or not, Mona is still very much gravid! I keep thinking "any day now," but no eggies yet... she really is ready to pop, though, so hopefully the wait won't be much longer. :rolleyes:

Haha... I keep checking on her, and she just looks at me like "do you MIND??" :oops: Luckily she has a very nice temperament, so she isn't getting aggressive when I peek - and the last time she laid eggs (2 years ago), she even let me remove them without much of a fight.

Still no eggs, btw, but she's looking more & more uncomfortable/fat by the minute!

My girl was something like 39 days if I can remember rightly? The 9 days were so nerve racking. I know people say they lay at night but mine started laying at noon. I don't think anyone told her the rules. Good luck on the clutch! I guess 11 eggs on the 24th.

These guesses are getting later & later, LOL. :D

I'm actually starting to get worried, since it's now 39 days post-shed... but I read on another thread not to worry until day 45 POS, so I guess I'll just try to be patient until then. I took her out tonight to clean the tub, and she's looking huge and lumpy - one lump at the base of her tail is really hard, while the others are softer. Does that sound normal, or could that hard one be causing the delay? She is otherwise fine, and was slithering around my bed like her normal self. I added some sphagnum moss to her tub, in hopes the humidity boost would encourage laying (worked for Nerissa when she was taking forever last season). Wish she'd just drop the darned eggs already!!

O my goodness.... Shes huge my guess is going to be 8 eggs Aug 4 as thats when my clucth is bein cut. Good luck hope she drops soon she looks miserable.
