Slow site!

Okay, so for the past two days, the site has been soooooo slow. I think it's the new server :tears: . I'm running chrome on windows 7 & it takes like 2-3 minutes for each page to load, and that's with no other tabs open, and no other site is like this. Any help?

the site is slow on my laptop but not my computer but im running the same software, on my laptop when its loading a page click the URL and hit enter twice and it should load faster, it did for me :)

Same boat here. Bother computers I use (one win vista running firefox and one win running chrome) as well as my Evo phone and HP android tablet are all loading BP.net slow but other sites just fine.

May want to check the options on the new server and make sure nothing crazy is going on.

Ditto, 75% of the time, it takes forever to load. Then whenever I open up a new tab, it load in less that ten seconds, while the other one could take up to ten min. For example this thread, I just opening up a new tab, so there's two tabs of this exact page running, and this one is the only one that loaded, the other is still 'connecting'. And I'm on my computer if that helps.

I have the same issue. Sometimes I click a link, and it takes forever. I noticed this over at that other big forum, after they upgraded last week. I wonder if it's the new version of vBulletin?

Its the same for me on my pc and my laptop.

Same here! Slow on my Mac :( and I don't like how you can't hit the bp.net logo and return to the home screen it brings me to the fourm page :/

Same goes for me. Been trying on both my computers and it's been lagging me out pretty badly :(

X however many people already complained plus one. I think Tapatalk is working okay but not on my work computers cuz I'm one of those awesome employees who spends time on here instead of doing work. :)

Yep, but typically if I keep refreshing it will load within a second or two

At first I thought it was my computer at work but it loads slow at home also.

Slow on IE, Windows 7, and on my phone (full site, no app), but my phone may very well be due to horrible service half the time with t-mobile :) Hasn't bothered me too much, because I just load a bunch of tabs while I'm at work, and check back on them when I have a moment.

For me it seems to be really slow on Safari where it records my login and quite fast on FireFox and my Samsung where I'm not logged in. I wonder if its the login database that's causing the issues?

I guess I'm the only person who hasn't had a problem.

It's absolutely miserable for me as well. If it continues I probably won't be browsing this site as much.

not the only one, no problems here

On verizon 3g (.8 mbps), speed is the same as before, takes 5-10 secs to load. switch to wifi at home (22 mbps) and it loads less than 2 secs. Desktop Ubuntu using chromium (30 mbps) loads near instantly. However I dont see this being OS/Browser related.

Same problem with me, I have to refresh the page every time I try to go to a new page or go back a page. Whenever I hit refresh it loads quickly but if I just click on the link it takes forever or it doesn't load at all. :(

Same here. I've had to load pages twice to get them to open faster. Seems to be working okay on my iPhone at the moment though. It's usually worse at night.

same here, but not everytime, just occasionally a page takes foreverrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrr to finish loading...:P

well i finally got it to hang up on me, "ads.ball-pythons.net" has trouble loading sometimes.

Pretty much narrowed it down to our ad server.

Once I eliminated the ads on my end, the site is pretty quick! woohoo!

Working on getting a solution put in place right now :gj:

I upgraded out ad server software and re-enabled the ads. Please keep me posted if you see any more crazy lag like there was before!
