Curious question!
Just woundering if there is any way to encourage your snake to poop?
Thanks

Re: Curious question!
A lukewarm soak with usually bring it on - but to be honest, it is not necessary to induce a poop - they will go when they need to. Sometimes they go weeks without one.

Soaking them in warm water helps. At least that's what my friend does and it works for hm!

Re: Curious question!
I have tried soaking him, but doesn't seem to work...
would turning up the heat and not handling him make any difference?

Why are you so worried about it pooping?
Are you under a time constraint for something? Why does your snake need to poop right now?

Re: Curious question!
Yes,
I fed him and I may be going away for 1 week on Tuesday and want him to try and poop ASAP

Re: Curious question!
Have you offered it better reading material?

Feed him something from Taco Bell. Just kidding.

Re: Curious question!
No taco bells in the UK anyway lol

It will go when it's ready unless there is a blockage I would not recommend soaking, soaking = stress and stress can lead to RI.
They defecate more or less often based on age, feeding schedule, prey size etc.
Young animals that are growing will utilize most of the prey for their growth leaving very little to defecate.

Re: Curious question!
oh okay thanks, well he has refused 2 meals i have offered him not sure if that's because he has might and has less surrounds, and different substrates but im going away for 1 week anyway so i wont offer him anything for like 2 weeks, just concerning he has about 10 weeks old and he was 90 grams but now he is 86 grams :/

Before you leave, I would highly suggest just posting a bit more about your current husbandry with this guy and get some feedback here from members to hopefully help your little guy settle in. He could be stressed by something, either the mites or something else which is causing him to refuse food.
As for getting him to poop, if he hasn't eaten the past two meals, don't worry about him pooping.
I would defintely post another thread with a bit more details about your little guy. Maybe there's something we can suggest that will help him start eating again :)

Re: Curious question!
everything should be fine with his husbandry,
50-65% Humidity (daily, nightly)
88-91(daily) 85-6(nightly)
he sleeps all day pops his head out for a drink sometimes.
he always comes out at night he seems fine, but of course taking him out every couple of days to clean the cage cause of mites is probably annoying him
and i think i do handle to much just because i like him but he's never defensive with me just calm but i am not going to touch him until i am back from holiday now:)
