    Black Axanthic Morph
So I stumbled upon my new favorite morph, the Black axanthic. Hopefully I'll be able to afford one in the next breeding season or two. Since im definitely not in the market anytime soon, I really don't feel like bugging the guys over at VPI for a price. Does anyone have any idea what the prices would be for a male and for a female? If they're in the multiple thousands, I think go back to thinking about the black pewters, especially since I have no plans for breeding!

Justin Kobylka has a het black axanthic male listed for $1,000. As far as females go, I'm not sure you'll be seeing any on the market anytime soon. That's a fairly new morph and last I heard VPI and Justin were both holding onto the females while they work with and develop the morph further. They're smokin' looking animals and if they hold their colors as adults like they're purported to, it'll be awesome to see what combos they produce with them.

Very high lol, Black Axanthics are a very cool morph and one that I would love to get into but I think that I'll be waiting 5 or so years to let the prices come down some first!

Right? I won't be breeding so a het axanthic won't do me any good. I checked his site earlier and his axanthic clutch was laid on the 15th, guess we will have to wait and see. It looks like he posts prices with pics...awesome!

If a het is $1000 ur probably right. I could see me with a budget of ~$1500 within a year or two. I just graduated college and got a good job in a biology lab right after. I think I deserve to save up for something like that. As a side note, isn't it after 3am over there?!

Good luck getting one if you manage to. I'd love to see one in person and eventually own one but if I had a penny for all the morphs I like and want to own, welll...I'd have at least a few of them bought and paid for at that rate, lol!

    Me too!!!!
I saw them recently too and feel in love at first sight. I actually found it first in a hognose, which IMO was really good looking. Then I found it in a BP, but like SerpantMerchant Im gonna wait a bit.

Current time in Orlando, Fl. is 4:46 A.M.

I'm a college student who works full time so sleep is not something I get much of. I'm currently waiting for my computer to finish running some calculations for me...

Dang! I did the same thing for 4 years, but took the last 2 years off. A big applause and handshake for you, Aaron! It's tough, but will pay for itself 10 fold when you're done. I, however, did not have all those pets to take care of, which deserves another round of applause.

They are in the multiple thousands dollars range but they are amazing animals that not too many people are working with, I am sure we will see amazing combos in the future and this in my opinion make them a great investment.

    Black Axanthic
I have a pair of het black axanthics. Im working to produce an Black Axanthic Enchi spider. I have not seen stingerbees in an axanthic form with the existing lines. My spider and het male have already locked up. And the female is at 1400g. This season I could have Black Axanthics.
