    Greetings from Montana!
Hello everyone! My name is Tom and I live in the small town of Dillon, Montana. I have had a love for snakes for several years now, but I wasn't allowed to own one while I lived with my parents. I wasn't allowed to own one in the dorms at my old college either but now that I have my own apartment I am free to own snakes!

I had a baby ball python (normal morph) that died for unknown reasons a few weeks ago. I plan to make the 2-hour drive to the nearest pet store in a couple days to get another one. I would like to start breeding eventually but I don't know nearly enough about it. If I did start breeding though it would only be a little bit because I plan to go to Navy SEAL training in about three years and I certainly wouldn't want my poor girlfriend to have to take care of a bunch of snakes while I'm gone.

Well that's a little bit about me!

I'm going to Bozeman on thursday (June 20th) to get another Ball like I said. I really hope I can get a female so I can breed her eventually, but people at pet stores generally don't know what gender snakes are. Right now I only have a ten-gallon tank that I kept Troy in (RIP buddy) but once I get more gear I want to get a mojave and breed the two.

Welcome! This is a great place for info, with lots of helpful members. It's also lots of fun here, we are all snake fanatics! Montana sounds nice. Hubby and I always joke about packing up and moving to Montana. :)

I picked up everything and moved to Montana from Virginia when I was barely 18. Great place.

I know a member on here named Shadera is from Montana. Ask her about local breeders to you or if theres any shows out there. They would both be able to hook you up with a normal for a much better price. Pet stores usually sell them for like $60-$80. I got my normal girl from a breeder for free along with my cinny i was buying from him. Male normals have zero breeding value so if you find a local breeder to you theyll probably give you one for free or very cheap, like $10-$15.
