Boa bit herself?

Okay, so I was feeding my boa, and she got a little "over-excited" as bit herself, one of her teeth got stuck in her scales in her back, and I got a little water and let it "dribble" out of the glass onto her teeth so she would let go, and she did, it started to bleed, I wiped it off, and put her away, what should I do now?

Nothing, unless there is still a tooth stuck in her. Really no different then her biting you, maybe a little bit of blood but nothing happens. It happens when you have an excited feeder!

I looked and so no teeth in the mark, and so is it okay to say it may happen frequently?

I wouldn't say frequently, but it happens. I'd say if you don't even see a mark don't worry about it unless you start seeing redness or swelling. If there was a mark, a little Neosporin short term wouldn't hurt.

I've had ball pythons bite themselves, before, lol.

Nothing to do unless it's bad enough to require a dab of betadine. Silly things. :)

Well, when I said mark, I meant the area where she bit, and nothing was there, just a dab of blood, I will still try the neosporin for safety. Thanks!

I'd only use a teeny bit just for a couple days. Neosporin long term is not good for snakes. Bedatine would be ideal, but most people have Neosporin on hand already so that's why I suggested it.

Pretty much. Except is doesn't sting. Active ingedient is povidone-iodine, 10%.

is you use the neosporin make sure theres no pain killer in there

Yup thats what i meant. Like stronger than Hydrogen Pyroxide which doesnt burn at all but not as strong as rubbing alcohol which stings like a sonofagun.
