A very kind forum moderator(Wizill) deleted it. He seems to do this whenever other members make him look wrong or for whatever other reasons. Complain to BallKingdom or to Jeanne, I already did but I don't know what has been done about it. If this site keeps moderators with attitudes it's not going to go nowhere, moderators are suppose to help not be ruth like this certain one.

beaglegod, don't worry. whatever you don't remember we'll be happy to fill in the blanks on. i don't understand why it was deleted either, but it's not irreplaceable.

    Lonnnnnnnnnnng Story....

It was an error in judgement that Im sure a party wished they could retract. (not faulting any one person)

Ask the questions again and you will get the info you need. Sorry for the inconvienence.

I think what happened was a mess up on will's part. I believe what has happened was he tried to delete one post and accidently deleted a thread. I've been figuring out what's been going on today, and when he is around I will be talking to him. Thanks.

I suppose that it was a mistake when he deleted one of my topics in the past too, right?...I really don't care but let's just hope that there ain't no more "accidents" lol

Turns out it was Jeanne, whoops. She said there was bickering. I was not around to decide. I've asked her to simply lock topics for a short time till I can personally evaluate them.

Good idea! Members aren't always gonna agree on everything, that's why it's a forum so that everyone can post their opinion.

    Will,
I apologize for thinking it was you but that's what someone told me. My fault for going along with that "he said-she said" stuff. Again, I apologize.

As am I, bad information spreads like plague, upsetting people. Will is innocent, and I issue my full apology to him for assuming it was him.

    John,
We've both apologized like a man should when he's wrong, I'm sure Will forgive us.

In some ways, I'm glad that the thread was deleted. A number of posts seemed excessively hostile and I think it makes sense to send the message that if you choose to vent your splean, you will simply be deleted.

If you have anger management issues, or just a bad hair day, start a site and yell at the world, but dumping on people sharing thoughts and ideas isn't helpfull. You can correct error (or voice another opinion) without attacking the poster(s).

As for the presence of us inexperienced herpers in the forums, if we knew what all you old timers know, we wouldn't need the forum. Patience is a virtue.

    Just my two cents worth.

PS - Love this forum and site. Very helpful stuff.

Will, I think it's great that you're not holding any hard feelings over the case of mistaken identity. I missed seeing anything particularly contentious in that thread, so it must have happened after I went offline for the night. This is a great forum and I would hate to see misunderstandings or personality clashes bring it down.

Over on the game forum we visit, they have a special section that only the moderators can access where they move "questionable" topics to so that they can be evaluated. Additionally, this allows especially caustic exchanges to be kept in case the decision has to be made to ask a member to leave, without leaving the offensive material out for everyone to get drug into.

Of course, if they can be moved to that section, they can be moved out of that section by a mod as well, should it be decided that the initial move was an overreaction or misunderstanding. Sort of like the "recycle bin" on your computer, storing the files until you tell it to permanently delete them.

In the future a topic of questionable content will be locked. If it is serious enough that we don't want members to see it at all it will be moved to the mod forum or deleted.

We have a mod forum, you just can't see it :)
