My Boa Girls! :) Dumeril's Boa and BCI

It's been a while since I posted (or took) new pictures of my boa girls. So, since today was sunny, I thought I'd take them out for a crawl in the grass. :D

This is Xena, my 1 year old female Dumeril's Boa. She did not like the camera nearly as much as my BCI did, and thought the solution was to burrow her head into the dirt. I didn't get a picture of that though. :P I only managed to get a few of her before she had enough. She also kept trying to hide under my leg. :rolleyes: She's a little shy...but she's getting better. She's somewhere between 500-600 grams right now. I haven't weighed her in a few weeks though.

And here is my 1 year old female Monster Tail BCI from the Boaphile, Cyane. She is getting so big! She's somewhere between 400-500 grams I'd wager. I haven't weighed her in a few weeks either. :P Probably should have done that today while I had them out. My scale is off by about 60g though...so the weights are general. I need to get a new one.

Anyway, she seems to love the camera, and will gladly pose for my pictures. :D Here she is!

The more I look at pictures of gorgeous boas, the more I worry that once we start on those it'll be like the ball pythons :rolleyes: "But I like that morph!" "We should get that locale BCC too!" "How about this species? They'll fit in a rack"

It will happen. I promise. Boa's personalities are absolutely amazing! And they are soooo very beautiful, intelligent...and strong. :P I love my boa girls. I want a male for both of them eventually, and hopefully an albino BCI too. Oh! And a Suriname BCC...and maybe a Guyana...and a Longicuada...I'm sure I'll want to keep some of their babies too...See? :rofl:

WOW! Both of your girls are fantastic! Your Dumeril's is beautiful and classy, your BCI is amazingly gorgeous and sassy. :D I love all of your pictures, but especially love the first few of your BCI. That tongue is to die for. :rofl: Great shots, one and all. Thanks for sharing!

To be honest, I'm not sure exactly what defines them as Monster Tails, aside from their amazing red tails. They have more red and pink in them all together. And cool patterns. :P
