Bumble bee or honey bee?

Which do you prefer and why?

I'm just curious, I'll be getting my first ball python this summer and I can't decode whether to aim for a bumblebee or a honey bee. They're both beautiful, but I heard that bumblebees brown out a lot as they age.

Honey Bee all day long.

Hypo make everything better. And generally, HBs are better looking adults IMO.

Bumblebees CAN brown out. If you're looking for a hatchling, you'll want to find a clean one if you want to avoid browning. Very light with very little orange. Anything orange will brown out over time.

I've seen some gorgeous, light Bees that are just stunning. There is nothing like a high quality Bee.

On that note, the Honeybees are so rich. I personally haven't seen many Honeybees around, and I'm not familiar with the pricing on them, but I imagine they're more expensive given the fact you tend to see more Bumblebees around (plentiful).

For myself, I'd aim to find a really high quality Bumblebee. If I couldn't, then I'd go for a Honeybee.

But that's just based on physical appearence for me.

High quality of either I think are beautiful. Amazing bumblebees are hard to come by.. If you aren't sure of what to look for, you might end up with a sweet baby bee that eventually looks like a spider..

I would go with a high quality honeybee :gj:.

I love both, two of my favorite morphs. But there's something about bumble bees that get me, cant put a finger on it but they are one of my favorite morphs regardless of price.

I vote Honey Bee.
They're both beautiful as hatchlings, but honey bee's maintain their good looks into adulthood. :)

I love my bumblebee. The contrast between the yellow and crisp black I love. Plus she is a sweet pea. :)

Im a sucker for ANYTHING hypo. Thatll be the first recessive gene i get into once i become an established (hobby) breeder.:gj:

Honeybee...not only do I prefer their appearance, and think that for the most part keep a nicer appearance as they age, but also that anything hypo is awesome and projects that include recessive genes are more fun, IMO.

YES!! I love hypo anything really but man humblebees are SAWEET! i do love honeybees too. but again I think hypo makes everything better!

Humble Bees are great! I have a pastel that's het. for hypo and plan on putting him to use in a humble bee project in the future.

I'm guna throw out a curve ball here. I used to think bumblebees were the bees knees, but lately butter/lesser bees have been grabbing my attention. Plus IMHO they can only get better with age. But if I had to choose from what the op said than a high quality bumblebee beats the pants off a high quality honey bee. IMO of course.
