Ok, here are the pics of the new guy. The previous owner told me he is in shed, and low and behold, I put him in his new home and he sheds! So these pics are with him in his brand new skin. Enjoy :)

Really a GREAT looking snake. You should name him "Charlie" after Charlie Chaplin since he's got a comical moustache.

How long before you can hold it?

I always tell myself to wait 7 days before holding a new addition..But it never ends up that long! LOL.. I'll prolly wait 3-5 days, since he didn't get shipped here, he only went on a 10 minute car drive, and now he is being quarentined. Plus, he doesn't seemed stressed, but you never know; they can't talk to me, lol. The only thing I'm worried about with introducing a boa into my python "collection" is the extra risk of IBD. Man that stuff sucks.

I'll probably try feeding him next Wednesday, (since the previos owner said he hasn't eaten in a month due to being down for the winter), and then 3 or 4 days after that I'll get him out and hold him. Man, that sounds like so far away, LOL....

You keep refering to the boa as a he, so I'm thinking that it's a male right? How old is it? How long is it? Do you know how much it weighs? Do you have any plans for it as far as breeding goes?

Those are questions that the previous owner should've given her except for the last one but ok.

Danny, questions are okay. :) He is a male (as sold to be by the previous owner, I will probe him myself at a later time when he his settled in); he is 4 years old; I don;t know the weight, I was going to weigh him, but it didn't feel necissary. All I know is he is a big guy, lol. He just over 6' long, and unless I get a female (which, probably not) then no I don't have any plans for breeding him. :)

Man, I felt like I'm selling him, those are all questions you answer when you're selling an animal, lol. It's all good, though. Like I said, questions are good. :) Any others? LOL..

Oh, and that is a MASSIVE head, like you said, will. I can't get over it, lol. And you can just pet his face and he won't even jilt his head back a little bit; it's really cool.

I already opened his mouth and saw them (when I was checking for RI symptoms) and they look like bp teeth. ;)
