Hair trouble -_-
Okay, so the background story, every summer I dye my hair an off the wall color. This summer I chose neon green, my hair WAS the color of my avatar, & I bleached it and for the most part it was blonde/white but still had some brown spots in some areas that aren't very big. I went ahead & put in the green dye, well what a bad idea I had. It came out green, with the brown spots still showing (duh, Jason). So I bleached it today & it is for the most part white with brown spots in the same spots as before :( Someone please help me, I'm at the breaking point to where I'm about to go snip, snip, snip, away!

What kind of bleach are you using? What volume developer? Did your hair have dye on it when you bleached it or was that natural? What brand was the green? Post pictures of the brown spots it might give me a better idea of what's going on. My advice will probably end up being to apply a higher volume developer and bleach to just the brown spots but that might change depending on your answers.

Bald is the new Neon Green :gj:

I couldnt even imagine having hair as long as yours, it would piss me off to no end. 3/4inch is the size of the clipper i use. I would just shave your head if i were you!:gj:

Nice clean short haircuts look way better, IMO.

Eh, don't listen to them. Long hair is awesome! I miss my long hair. Since I don't have that anymore, I'll just dye my mohawk to smite the haters. Red!
My wife pretty much seconded what babyknees said. She always has funky hair colors, so I'll take her advice. I ain't got a clue about that stuff personally, though.

Really want to be different? Shave it!

I love my long hair :gj:.
Ignore all these conformists! LOL

Both the bleach & developer were manic panic flash lightning & it was 30 volume. It was dyed black like in the avatar but I've used the same dye & bleach before & it was fine. The green was electric lizard by manic panic & I'll post pictures when I get home later. & thanks for the advice, ill wait to do anything to allow you to "evaluate".

Oh & to everyone who's saying "Be a man & cut it." I will not cut it, I look absolutely horrid with short/ no hair.

It does take a lot of confidence to shave it.

Or so you think, have confidence in yourself. If you like your long hair that's cool, but I see too many of today's youth hiding themselves with hair due to poor self confidence.

& possibly that's why my hair is long. I plan to keep growing it, bullies suck, aye?

My assumption is that you didn't have a meticulous application technique with the bleach. Like I first suggested just reapply the same mix to JUST the parts that are too dark for the green to show up right. The color on the pics is a little off so I think you'll be able to see best which parts need to be rebleached. I think it's mostly midshaft and ends which makes sense since there was already color on it. Do you have a tint brush? That will help it penetrate the section you're applying it to so the bleach will get on each strand. If you can, get a friend to help so that you can get anything in the back taken care of well. Bleach is so much less forgiving than color, as I'm sure you know/realize. Good luck! If you have more issues or questions or something I said was unclear just let me know.

I agree with everyone else. Cut it. It will look much better.

I think your hair is fine just the way it is. Actually, the blonde doesn't look bad at all. You could always leave it. But I love funky colors myself. Just got my turquoise/green removed for job interviews. (Yuck!) I miss the days when I could put six colors in. Boy did that look cool. I did it for a modeling thing, so it was professional...but still. Lol.
Do you, Jason. ;) Whatever makes you happy. Good luck getting that brown out! :gj: oh! And post pics to update when you put the green back in!

Thanks for the support WP, and I sure will update the thread in the next few days. :D

Jason im not really one to hate on people for the way they choose to look or dress. But you will have trouble getting a job with hair covering your face like that. People judge based on anything.

Yup, I'm done messing with it, I'm cutting it, I've bleached it three time and the brown spots have barely gotten lighter, bye bye hair, hello high and tight, pics to come. :(

Unfortunate. But you can always dye "high and tight" hair to make it more fun :)
