What a great forum this is!!!

:D Well, I have been on this forum now for a few months and I would really like to say what an awesome forum it is and how nice the people have been to me here in this time.I would really like to thank RPlank for inviting me over here after my rather unpleasant experience that I had on another forum.I was actually kind of depressed back then and I did not think I was going to find any other Ball Python keepers to talk to when RPlank dropped in out of nowhere and steered me over here.

Everybody has had great advice for me about my Ball Python husbandry and you all seem to tolerate my babbling on about my three precious babies....my Matrix crew...Trinity,Cyper and Apok.Heeheehee :wink: These are really THE most awesome snakes and I have been spending the last year almost studying snakes in general (fascinating creatures!!! ) and Ball Python husbandry.I would like to become very knowledgeable and skilled in their care as I am planning on breeding my babies in about another year.So hats off to all you great guys and gals and I look forward to talking "snakes" with you all in 2004 !!!!!!!!!! :D :D

good post, eyelash... it is a great site, isn't it? just having a place to come and share pictures and events with fellow bp lovers is great.

Oh everybody here is just cooler than Chocolate milk as far as I am concerned.Everybody is pleasant and accomadating to beginning herpers like myself.This other forum I was on for a short time....they practically tore me a new rectum just for being friendly and maybe a bit overenthusiastic...it was nasty how they went off on me.Sheesh...I love it over here...this place is great!!!!!

I agree, this is a great site, I have learned a lot from some great people.

I have only had my bp's since Christmas and never imagined that I would have a snake of any sort in my home, but I am now a bp lover for sure! Just not to knowledgable Yet!

before i found bp.net, i was pretty much a newbie to ball pythons... and i posted on another forum that i was worried because my bp stayed balled up all the time...
i got replies such as "your bp will die tomorrow" and "you are an idiot".
would never expect something like that on this site.
i'm pretty sure someone could say "why does my bp flicker his tounge" and get a real, thought out response... love the site, and glad you feel the same way. i'm sure it makes the pres happy to read things like this.

kori, you're in the right spot. give it a month and you'll be able to help people. this is a very informative site. also, the variations of different methods people use to feed, house... ect. is great to read. really teaches you a lot.

BTW, how long does it usually take to shed from the time their eyes turn color?

usually with my guys, although this sort of varies by age... their eyes will cloud over, and about 3 days later they will clear back up. about a day after i can't see anymore cloudiness they begin to shed. so i'd say a week.

I've learned so much here since I've been a member. I visit another site but only as a guest. I will never join no matter how informative it can be, simply because of things that some of you experienced. Those people can be brutal, even the moderators call posters a$$hole.
Not very professional to me. I love this site.

Well, there are a few reasons why I think this site is soon to become just a great site... We offer more. Some sites may offer purely informational info. While others offer little more then forums. How can you make a great site when you only offer half? So it is my main goal at the moment to make a complete site. It'll be tough, and I need all the people I can get. But in a year I see this site as the top herp community/info site. Maybe not the most popular, but close. We're 4 months old I think, 4.5 maybe. And we have 240 members, and extremely active forums. I think thus far things are going great :)

Yup, this place is fantastic! And growing like mad! Lots of new people showing up daily, it seems.
John, you've done a great job in a short time. Gotta say, I must spend at least an hour daily reading, posting, learning. In my opinion this is the most easily navigable, friendly, informative, and attractively laid-out site around!
Everybody, you've helped make a wonderful place to go for laughs, ideas, and good vibes all around!
I think of you all as friends and really enjoy being a member of BP.net :D

I am very glad that I found this site. Everyone has been so helpful. It is definately a great site!

Yeppers, gotta chime in my agreement here. When I first got Phil, I went looking for on-line info on Ball Pythons and found that "other site". Like many of you, I noticed that questions often were either outright ignored or responded to with derision. Thanks, but while they might be "tired" of all the "noob" questions, we're still trying to learn the ropes so that our BP's can be healthy and happy.

We just need to be careful that we here don't fall into that same jaded attitude once we've fielded the same questions over and over again.

I must say that everyone has been really patient with my newbie questions. I'm sure the majority has heard the same ones dozens of times and still they gladly answer them. I am truly thankful to everyone who patiently helps.

hoomi, the way i see it... anybody interesting in keeping a bp should come to this site. here, we don't mind answering questions a zillion times if we have too... i'd rather see a healthy bp.

well i cant belive i havent gotten in on this thread yet...this sight rocks! and ill bet it gets better! i think the attitude around here is contagious. you arer a group of great people. mixed with a great site with forums and a bunch of info...gonna be tough for someone to top this place.
