    Mother and offspring...
A couple quick pics of mom and her 24g baby, the only one who survived. I couldn't be asked to set up a light tent today, so the color is a little funky.

Never actually seen a baby that small yet, looks like a worm compared to it's mom! And sorry for the loss of the other babies.

Was that a dinker project? Mom and son seem to be alike.

Umm, I never specified the sex of the offspring. It is female. This isn't a dinker project.

That is how she is! She could eat a very small rat pink, but it still might be a bit excessive. Luckily I've got some very pregnant mice due any day now. Hopefully they will pop in time for us to offer to her again. I'm really hoping she will take a mouse on her own. This is all new to us. None of our other hatchling balls have ever been anywhere near this small. :gj:

Still not sure what went wrong with this clutch, but the evidence suggests it might be genetic. We have another female due soon that was bred to the same daddy, so if that clutch has the same issues we will know if it was him. If it isn't him we will probably retire the mother of this clutch just in case. It isn't worth the risk to us.
