I ended up selling him at a reptile show a few months back.....and I regret it to this day, lol.
Marla & Steelsac.....Viper Boas get 2-3 feet long, but are very unusual snakes....finding CBB Candoia is very hard and often they are problematic feeders, but the Vipers seem to be the best of the Candoia genus. They like it cool (75-82) and humid. They grow VERRRRY slowly. The baby in that pic was at least 4 months old. They are also fairly aggressive....they also have one of the fastest strikes of any snake I've ever seen...they can also "jump" up to strike. That little one gave me some pretty good nips a couple times. All in all, very interesting snakes.

Cool, David, thanks for sharing! I'll have to keep my eyes open for any of those I could meet in person. Are they closely related to the sand boas by any chance?
-
That was me. Apparently if I leave the window open but idle for a certain amount of time I lose my login, even though I've checked the "Remember me" box forty-eleven times!
-
forty-eleven? Is that code for 51? LOL :lol:
-
Actually, I think the Candoia genus is closer to Corallus (the Tree Boas) in genetic makeup.

Jen -- it's how my sister used to count when she was little (more like "fowty webben" really), and I always thought it was cute. :-)
David, interesting. It looked to me more visibly like the sand boas, but I am far from an expert.
