Can I get a gallery?

I'm running low of space on my site, with all the stuff I have there. Is it possible for me to get a gallery here for a few snakey photos?

LOL! Only every third member can get one now because the site is growing too fast. ;)

The site is growing real fast, and the galleries might become a bit tricky to keep giving out. I might need to come up with a new plan :)

They account for 70 megs of this site, and the actual site is only like 35, lol.

Heh. You'll end up with 200 MB of forum, 2 MB of other site files, and 1 GB of member galleries. ;)

The forum itself was only like 6megs total I think. And my entire mysql database is like 12 megs. Mysql stores user information, forum posts, forum settings, pm's, content, ect. Basically if my mysql database goes down this site ceases to exist. Good thing the host makes backups.

maybe you wont be abe to allow photo galleries. id rather have that then not have b-p.net! send everyone over to photobucket.com for a host. or allow a small file size for photos. and only a few pics.

John, I assumed you had a mysql backend because that's the most common for these sorts of things, and was including that in the forum total. They can grow incredibly large if you don't set it to auto-prune messages of a certain age, but you certainly have time before you have to decide to do something that drastic.

I don't auto prune, no need. If a user comes looking for information, and can't find it on the site, they can look in the forums. It is equally as important as the caresheets. It's a wealth of info, why delete it.

My forum mysql is only 6 megs, no worries.

True, until or unless you're going to run out of room (because the database will grow pretty big) or the size adversely affects forum performance. I definitely prefer to avoid pruning myself because it does provide such a wealth of back information.

If my hosting ever exceeds 1.5 gigs....we might encounter a problem, lol.
