A day in the life picture thread...
I think it would be neat to put up some of the mundane but relevant aspects of your day taking care of your animals.

I put this in general BPs so it would actually get seen, but feel free to put up this kind of stuff for whatever animal you are taking care of.

    I will start it off...

Hide cleaning day! Water bowls are next.

I do the exact same thing!

If I had seen this earlier, I would have been happy to take pictures of the annual mite prevention day celebration. :P

When I have all the same tubs I'll have to try that :D

Not the most mundane thing, but weighing day!

...plus having to deal with snakes that are derpy and eat things backwards:
    http://i742.photobucket.com/albums/x...s/DSCN2884.jpg

And the mundane part: the 'Supplies Tub of Storage and Boring Things'

If someone posts a picture of a bunch of FT rodents defrosting somewhere random that would make my day

I've had my husbands friends freak out when they realize that the thawing mice/rats are on the counter next to the ketchup and mustard for their lunch. It was worth it! ;)

I was going to toss our current dishwasher/or sell. After seeing that first pic, it'll go downstairs where I plan on making my bar area the entire snake area. I just weighed my bps for their first time. Cheap $20 digital scale at Wally mart. My albino is 400 grams heavier than what I thought she was. She is in the 1300 gram zone. So happy. Very cool thread btw. :taz:

Not exactly a random spot, but here's some rats thawing in my bathroom sink!

Also, just for kicks and giggles, my new rack that I'm working on!

I'm quite proud of how it's turning out, considering that I, a wee lass of 17, bought all the materials myself, AND built it myself, with no help from an experienced craftsman (dad, lol.) :D

Well, she is not my animal but I do take care of dogs all day at work. Here's Lily getting her bath :)

And my pastel seems to have found a snuggle buddy, which is quite frustrating:

    Don
Didn't get a pic of me doing it, but here is the end result. Re-wired the Flexwatt, cleaned up the rack and tubs and got the hides ready for the babies to come out of the eggs. Then set up the thermostat and tested for proper temperatures.

Squirming would be great. Right now, all his friends peek in the door before coming in the house to make sure I don't have 'one of those things' out around my neck. If I come downstairs with one of my babies to join in, they will stand and move at least 5 feet away from me. Guarantees me a spot on the couch for gaming though! Just a side note, these are all men and all are at least in their 20's if not 30's and 40's. When we had the roof done, the only one from the crew that didn't freak out when I had my albino girl out was the one girl. She came right up, asked if it was a snake and if she was friendly. While she was holding it, all the guys on the crew watched us like we were crazy and wouldn't get near her. Mind you, this is a baby ball python. It's not like I had a 12 foot retic on the lawn... Got to love the reactions. :)

This is kinda weird but in general i find females are much more open/accepting to the idea of them when i tell people i have snakes. I mean of course theres some who hate them but in general most girls dont care as much. If i tell a guy they get all creeped out on me and tell me they would kill them if they saw them. Oh geez, how macho of them lol!
