    Rescued pastel boy
I picked this guy up Thursday evening (oops I said 2 days ago on my intro, been a fast weekend lol)

He tried to escape and scratched himself up pretty bad on his screen lid. He also didn't eat for a couple months because his heat pad was unplugged...

As soon as I got him home I took a couple quick before pics.

Skin is hanging off his bone, not to mention stuck shed every where

I gave him a soak to get the stuck shed off. This is him the following morning, he ate a hopper mouse before I went to bed. Normally I wait a few days before offering food, but he is super skinny.

He has lots of scratches and what looks like bite marks as well. I'll be trying him on f/t next feeding.

I will defintly keep you all posted and hopefully one day I'll be able to post a picture of a beautiful healthy pastel :)

He is pretty underweight, I hope he pulls through for you, looks like he is in shed in the pictures... make sure that the cage humidity is above 60% and I would hold off any more soakings at this point as soaking can strip essential oils needed for the shedding process.

He has cleared up so incoming shed :) His humidty is sitting at 70% right now. I hope it comes off good, he sure needs it. Once he sheds i'm going to offer him a f/t rat pup. He really doesnt need anymore scars he has enough!

I would have offered a small rat right away. He looks very skinny. Be sure to post a pic after he sheds bc he is a cutie. Coincidentally my pastel girl is in shed right now too, all ugly and browned out lol

Well Desmond shed today :) He had a f/t small mouse today. He is very tiny just bigger then a hatchling, I don't think he could take a small rat. I offered him a rat pup that was the size of an adult mouse and he was not interested, so I thawed him a mouse. I'll scent a f/t rat pup with a live mouse next time :)
Rat pup looks a bit too big for him

Post shed pics :) It all came off in one piece eye caps included

Edit he was 108 grams when I got him, he is up to 128grams and growing.

Poor little guy, I bet in 6 months you won't recognize him, he'll be all fattened up. Good on you for giving him a fighting chance.
