    Finally took the jump....
... And put a deposit on my first Ball Python.

Been wanting one for years now. Literally. Since I was 12 I've wanted one.

Well, I finally put a 50% deposit on a ball python morph I've been wanting since they were $20k. Now, much more reasonable, haha. And affordable.

I'll post better photos once I recieve them from my breeder, as he's having his first shed, but I'm stoked.

She hatched out two Pieds, both males, and I'm picking up the 90% white once he's established.

It's like a switch went off in my head when I sent payment. That switch that says: "You know, I really should probably have two ball pythons. You know, in case one is shedding and I need to go to a presentation..." :gj:

Gah. I'm trying to make sure I don't end up with too many too quickly, haha. My boyfriend keeps giving me the: "No more reptiles" talk. Really, I only have three geckos and a snake right now. That's not too many, right? Especially since he 'claimed' my one gecko as his, so technically I only have two geckos and a snake. Psh. Not bad at all

Just waiting on an updated photo from the breeder, who has been crazy busy this week with 6 of her clutches hatching out. But he's doing good and already ate his first meal, so I'm happy.

Here's the only picture I have of him at the moment, going into his first shed. Such a little guy! :D

His name is going to be Fallout.

And he's the reason I'll probably be sleeping on the couch for a few nights when my boyfriend finds out, haha. But it's all worth it.

Very nice looking snake! Got to say I'm really jealous, I've never handled or seen a Pied before in person.

:blowkiss: Thanks, guys! I appreciate the comments.

After showing his photo to a few people, I was mocked openly for buying the 'Ugliest snake they've ever seen.' Kind of hurt a bit. I personally think he's a gorgeous little snake, and destined for a loving home.

Hence why I knew I had to come here to share instead. You guys get it.

They sure are. Haha. Not the first time my animals have been called 'ugly' and it won't be the last. But they're gorgeous and have the best personalities, so it just means that those judgmental people are missing out on something really special

That pied is the opposite of ugly. Whoever called him ugly is the opposite of intelligent. :)

He's so gorgeous! I'm definitely jealous. I would probably kill for a Panda Pied. Have you seen them?

Ohh I have seen those! Beautiful animals.

I'd really love an Enchi Pied myself one day. You think the Pied Pattern is neat now. The Enchi certainly makes it interesting. Then there's the Mojave Pieds, which go patternless.

No wonder people become addicted to trying out different combos with these animals.

Haha. I do play, but actually there is a story behind it. During finding out about this hatchling I was delving into some awesome Chernobyl documentaries. Something clicked when my breeder emailed me and said: "It's so neat. My 90% hatchling has a spot that looks like an Atom bomb going off."

That's when I was like: That's my snake.

    Hence, Fallout :-D
