One of my female pastels looked a little rosy when she was a month old.
Orange on a pastel is an indicator that its going to brown out a lot in the future.

Re: Orange sides
I don't like to produce pastels with a lot of orange in them. As stated above - orange turns brown in pastels. When choosing pastels - look for the least amount of orange as possible and the most faded head you can find.
All of the darker orange yellow coloring will turn brown, it's not a bad looking pastel, but it will brown out...

I think he looks fantastic! I love his banded pattern. How much does he weigh?

He's only about 300 grams, he was the snake that convinced my wife to let me keep snakes.

I like him! Some people are super picky, but he is a great addition as a pet!

I think he looks good. Remember, even if he does brown out, he'll continue to keep that cool blushing down his dorsal.

How about orange sides on "normal" ball pythons? I have produced a few over the years with orange coloring at the bottom of the "alien heads" and it has not brown out. I've kept a few to dink with, but I have not bred them yet.
