    Opinions?
So, I cannot tell if this girl is preggo. She has been laying on the cool side for 2 weeks now. Only paired with a male twice.

I am kind of hoping that she is not :/, Also have not pooped in a month now?
Never wanna do a breeding loan again ahah!
Tell me she just needs to poop bad. :]

You know what your mom always said, "It only takes one time".

I am no expert but she sure looks big in the first picture. I'll wait to see what the experts say. If she is, then Good Luck?

Her tail end looks really thick like my girl did just before she laid...but i dont see any eggs in there(not to say theyre not there). Try holding her vertically by her tail end. That was the only way i could see the eggs in my girl.

She also went a good while without pooping before her lay.

If you think its just a big poop, give her a warm soak and keep her busy a minute to loosen her up and get things movin.

When was the last time she ate? When was she paired?

Looks like eggs, or you're going to wake up to one heck of a mess in the tub soon.

One week ago. A small to almost medium rat.
I was feeding her smaller meals so i do not hurt her if she was preggo.

I hope you are wrong! (no offense XD ahah) I kind of do not want her to be Pregnant.

Chris!": I think i might take her a bath >.>

If she is staying on the cool side and this is an ovy, would a warm bath have any negative concenquences?

Why don't you want her to be prego o_O?

In the 2nd photo, you can see a bulge close to the top of the photo o_O. Could be something. What happened with this breeding loan ?

I know i am crazy. It was with a friend/ co worker and i feel these (supposed) eggs are making him crazy...
:/ So i am having regrets.

It was with his normal female my male reduced pattern bumblebee.

    Edit: I might be over-reacting?

Also curious as to why you don't want her to be pregnant. What do you mean the guy's going crazy?

looks like eggs to me but I am no expert. I had a thread a few days ago after dealing with a couple months of constipation. My female didn't look quite like that - she was bloated more on her sides and not so rounded in the tummy. With that said I don't see defined eggs but that doesn't mean that they are not in there.

If you lived closer I would offer to take the eggs off of you hahaha.

    Goodluck,

Keep us posted - I am interested in seeing how this turns out.

I would prefer not to say. He is just trying to be over controlling? aha
Just wanted your opinions on if she was gravid since he is taking her back in two days.

Well if she does have eggs. I will be getting half of whatever hatches. So i will try and get pictures from the co worker of her on eggs and then i will be posting pictures of the babies once they hatch.

Wait so if it was your bee to his normal then what are you worrying about? You still have your bee and he has a, what looks to be, preggo female. If you dont want the eggs tell him to keep all of them then. If you mean hes just being annoying about it then thats prolly just bc hes excited lol.

EDIT: ohh nm you still have the female. Hes probably just worried about his snake then. Think about what you would feel if someone had your snake and it was pregnant :D

    I guess you are right.
Though i do not know if i would be asking for my female back and transporting her if she was that swollen lookin.

*side note: i do want the eggs. Just think it would be way easier if we never got her preggo XD*

Edit edit: I think he is freaking out about what will hatch and the ratio of the split and if i am going to be honest. :/ But since he was a friend i told him if there is one bumblebee out of like 6 or so eggs and it turned out to be a male. I would not mind if he took it since i have a male. ya know?

It's better to work out the details up front and in writing, but it sounds like you may not have. In that case I would sit down now before anything comes out and settle on some terms and write them down to put both of you at ease.

One way of dividing them up is to decide who gets first pick and who gets second. Since you provided the morph, i.e. the larger investment, you can let the other party know that for that reason you would like first pick. But be open to the possibility that they may not agree. That being said, the following pick could be two snakes, and then whoever got the first pick, picks number 4. After that you just go one for one. It gives incentive to either first or second pick.

Another suggestion is you each pick one, sell all the rest and divide the proceeds.

Keep in mind that you should also plan for the contingency of dividing the costs if there are complications. Or the obligation of who will care for, and be responsible for any animals that are not sold, sellable, etc. You may even want to agree on who you will sell or not sell to.

There are alot of variables, but the important thing is to start a dialogue now when there are calmer heads to prevail as it may get really frenzied once things start to pop.

    Best of luck.

That girl is going to lay eggs no big poop about it....

If the deal is going sour just split the eggs once they are laid. Then no need to argue about who gets first pick by morph or whatever you are worried about.

Most females will cease feeding a minimum of 30 before ovulating. If she ate a rat, she's gonna poop. Ovulation is a MID body swelling. After ovulation it takes about 40-50 days for eggs to "grow".

I gotcha. Well hopefully she isnt pregnant then and he'll back off. If not then ill have to come to FL and crack some skulls to get him to leave you alone!:P
But like i said hes prolly just an excited mom to be!

If she's still eating, then that's a good sign that she isn't gravid. Most girls tend not to eat when pregnant. Of course, there are exceptions, but the general consensus is that they go off feed.

Also, try palpating her to see if you can feel any eggs. Hold her up vertically and press your fingers down her belly. If she really is gravid, you should be able to feel the eggs.

I tried. i felt one hard thing and then not really anything else.
If it so happens that she is preggo. what is the best way in your opinion to split the eggs or breeding loan?
I have the more expensive animal and he is the one who really wanted to incubate the eggs even though i did not mind doing it.
If an odd number of eggs or if there was an even number of eggs.
He is trying to say if i get the pick of the litter then that is the only animal i get...hmm is that right?

With the information you provided I honestly think she is not gravid. You said she was hanging out on the cool side and is still eating.. Usually a gravid girl will seek the warm end and refuse food. Although she does look rather large I am more inclined to say she is just backed up. But I guess we will find out soon! :P
