Not sure if they are good or not, but putting them in the incubator

I can tell you that they do not look to be fertile. 3 are definately not. I'd candle that big one in the middle just to be positive but I'm sorry they don't look good. Still surprise eggs bad or good are always happy times.

Agreed. The other three look like slugs. The big one looks pretty rough, but might be fertile.

Got an incubator up and running? :D

    Yup,

I'd candle the big one and discard the slugs.

Yeah already had it up for corn snake eggs. I went ahead and set the thermostat up to 88 put them in them in. I guess I will pull the corn eggs though and just try the shelf method since I keep the room 82.

What temperate are the corn eggs being incubated at? The temp swing will most likely be a shock if you pulled them, I'd think. I've successfully incubated corn eggs and ball eggs in the same incubator, but personally I wouldn't risk a corn clutch for one egg that is MAYBE fertile. Temp swings aren't good for eggs, as far as I know. Spikes can cause kinking, which I've seen for myself. Not sure about drops.

When I did corn/ball eggs in the same bator, I anticipated that this was going to be happening. I set the T-stat to 86.5. The extra 1.5 degrees either way didn't do any harm to the snakes in the eggs. The corn eggs hatched on day 57 instead of the usual 60, and the ball eggs hatched on day 58 or something. So while I've done it before, I won't do it again, as I now have 2 separate incubators.

Either way, I hope that one eggie is fertile for you!

The incubator was set at 82, getting a few degrees flux. So not sure if it is better to try with a higher incubation temp or not for the corn eggs as they are fairly tolerant.

They are indeed resiliant, but I've had a few get some weird things going on due to a temp swing. Some non-genetic pattern variations, as well as cone-heads. Cone-heads happen when the temps spike, I believe.

Like I said, I personally would not risk it, and would build a 2nd incubator (Can be made on the really cheap with some water, aquarium heater, and a styro box)

    But that's just me!

You can get a small hovabator too for that one egg. Lower temp fluctuations are usually better than high temp fluctuations. But either way I wouldnt risk a whole clutch of corn eggs for one possibly fertile egg either. Candle it though and find out if you even need to throw it in the bator.

Yeah got it candled and it looks good, can see veins.
Took one of my spare 34 qt tubs set it up on flexwatt and t-stat. Transferred the corn eggs since they can tolerate the lower temp flux better.
