My friend's burm has been hissing in his cage. It sounds like a big sigh. He does it many times a day. He's never struck at anyone. Why does he hiss.

I'm guessing he doesn't like trolls.

Assuming this is an actual question - He's a burmese python. They can be pretty vocal.

Nice try, but all someone has to do is look at your past posts.

I had no idea :o I knew snakes could hiss but I didn't think there would be some considered "vocal"

While I have nothing to contribute as far as your question goes, I share your sentiment about the contributions others have made.

Way to be guys:gj:...I just spent a few minutes going over the OP's past posts, and while I can see where he may have rubbed some the wrong way, no reason to jump on him over what seems to be a perfectly legitimate question. Ignoring is a perfectly reasonable route to take and far less time consuming.

He is just trying to stir up trouble. Why get people riled up for nothing?

Slim
He's tossing out a line to see which fish bite.
And
I've always used past results to predict future performance...Remarkable how accurate that method is

I don't really see how his question is an attempt at stirring up trouble... maybe I'm missing something (feel free to fill me in) but at least to me it looks like a real question.
Further, if he is just trying to stir things up, all of those responses just gave him what he wanted... Don't feed the troll remember?

Your local zoo may have someone who speaks parstle-tongue. They usually make house calls for around $75.00. They can tell you for sure what it's trying to say.

I've rescued a granite burm who sounded like one of those rain maker instruments. Constant hissing. She hisses even if you looked at her.
Yes, I've seen the op's past trolling. And yes I've called him a troll in past threads. However, I thought this post was a pretty legit question.
