    Enchi??
Does this look like it could be an Enchi to anyone else? I have asked for better pics in natural sunlight.

    Maybe.

The color of the pics is very yellowed out. Ask for a closer pic of the head and sides as well.

Here are the two pics he sent me. Apparently shes 5' and hes guessing 6,000grams. He's also selling her as black pastel so I'm doubting she's that big. Said shes also in shed but that is what her colour normally looks like.

not from that very last pic...I'd say no. I just picked one up, and I see no traits even similar to it. nice blushing though.

I have a very hard time believing that snake is 6000 grams

    If that's a 6k gram black pastel, then I'm a 800lb gorilla.

    Re: Enchi??
He's calling her an enchi AND a black pastel?? :weirdface

And I agree with Slim...no way the snake in the hand is 6000 grams. I wouldn't go anywhere near that deal unless you're in the market for an overpriced average sized normal who may or may not even be female.

((assuming the "overpriced" part because if he's trying to claim some kind of special genetics, he's most likely bumping the price, too))

look up 5000 gram ball python (Brian Gundy) that'll show you how 5000 grams look. That's about 10 pounds.

That guy is telling you that snake weighs about 13 pounds!!

    walk away.

She's in no way overpriced, he's asking $150. He also never called her an enchi, i thought that first pic resembled one so started this thread to see if anyone else saw the same thing. I agree that with these new pics it does not look enchi. I do like her as normal though, but I'm not gonna go 6 hours out of my way to get her unless shes free lol

    Re: Enchi??
That snake is not an Enchi or a Blackpastel.
Its a normal in a very yellowed out background.
That last pic is slightly better you can see it doesn't really have the color of an enchi, it has some 'ok' banding but everything else is way off.
It also doesn't have any of the pattern or color of a blackpastel whatsoever.
And anybody claiming a ball python is 6000g should be kind enough to post a pic of it on a scale of some sort from the start.I'd guess at the most its 2500g.

Not sure if that guys is uneducated about the snake he has and morphs in general or is simply trying to drop it off on somebody, but you'd might want to let him know its not a black pastel either.

I wouldn't pay more then 100 for a normal female that size.

    Re: Enchi??
Ahhh, ok. Glad we cleared up the enchi assumption! :P

As to the rest...still not a black pastel...and nowhere close to 6000 grams. As for the "female" part...that's about 50/50. :P

Personally, I'd consider $150 overpriced for that one, even if it does turn out to be female. But that's just my opinion.

I'd be weary to buy her even as a normal, if you're going to botch up that much information in order to try and pursuaid a sell, there is probably a lot of information that will be left out like "it's actually a male . . . " " It only eats live pinky mice twice daiyl . . . " "It only bites ever other day" . . "I got rid of his mites without treatment" . . . just saying, Black Pastel, Enchi, normal, avoid! Just like I avoid any seller who charges paypal fees!!

    Re: Enchi??
So it turns out this guy did buy her as a black pastel from a big breeder, and paid a black pastel price for her. I did tell him its a normal and told him to contact the breeder to make it right. He did put her on scale and said she was 5,496 grams, his scale has to be off. He knows i wont buy her, but is continuing to email with questions. Hemay be buying a hatchling from me later this year lol. He's also changed the add to a normal now that he knows, hes not malicious, just bad series of events :(

Unless his name is Hagrid, we can clearly see from the photo that the snake weighs maybe 1500 to 2000 grams, lol.

No way on earth that snake is 5,000 grams. My biggest girl was 3900 just before she laid and she dwarfs that snake.

I agree 6 hrs to drive for a normal, even a bigger normal female, is a little ridiculous.

    Re: Enchi??
sounds like a load to me, doesnt look to be 6,000 g and doesnt look like an enchi. Looks like it somewhat with a little light play, but I would stay away.
