Dial-up???
Anyone here still use it?? I use it as an expression now to tell people that there's a ton of photos.. I don't know anyone else who uses it anymore
-
What's dial up? Lol.......I remember those AOL days, and the joyful sounds of a early 90s modem. :)
-
Oh Jeeze I don't think I've used dial up for a very very long time. My family is a bunch of techie freaks and that was passed on to me.....
I do remember the beep beep bep bep beeeeeeep bep beeeep back in the day though. Lol
Check out what's new on my website... www.Homegrownscales.com

I don't use it, but I know that there's a lot of area that still use it where I live.
-
I haven't used dialup since 1998.
-
Last time I used it was only months ago. The last time I was only dial up was perhaps a couple years ago.
I think it's a good warning to use for folks on phones too. But yep, I used PeoplePC dial up and still have the service in case my high speed goes out.

Although, as it stands, my internet is behaving so badly that I might as well be using dial up.

What is D-I-A-L up???? I don't know what you speak of. Haha
-
I think the last time I used dial-up was about 15 years ago. Yeah, 1997 sounds about right - that fall, I went to college (hooray for dorm ethernet!), and haven't had anything slower than DSL since.
-
We still had dialup in the mid 2000s. Then, went to satellite, which was a major mistake, then to this wireless system that..Honestly isn't much better. I keep calling to complain but nothing ever gets fixed.
-
No way. Even the farm houses around here have been updated from dial up. I do use a satellite style connection. You just put a modem in the window and it picks up the satellite in the area. They aren't wide spread in Iowa yet, but they are nice if you are in a spot where internet is difficult to get.
