Help!!! Plz may have lost a baby
Ok. Last week the egg was strong with veins... But no movement... This week the veins have dissapeared and the egg is turning gold... Is it dead or dying? Has this happenes to anyone and if so did the baby make it? They are at 41 days.

Can you post pics for us? Sounds like you may have lost it. We've lost eggs here and there and they usually turn nasty yellow/gold/grey/transparent. That to me is usually sign to me that they have turned. They also become rather hard, not squishy (only word I can think to describe it) like a good egg. Just keep it in there for a bit longer. You never know, it may hatch.

I just left the house but theres only a tad bit of peachy pink in the middle... Both end are really bright yellow... And you can see where the veins were... But now they arent red or pink... They are clearish white colored. Poor little guy... His momma rolled him out at birth but like i said... Up until this week he was going strong. Idk.

If the veins are no longer and its turning gold/yellow there then it has died however I too would keep it in a few more days just to be sure

Does it smell bad? If not then let it be, if you dont have much experience with eggs its better to be safe than sorry. In the end it will be a good learning experience for the future. :gj:

Can be hard to smell if it just died, but in a day or so... Wow... I cut one open so I could preserve the baby. That smell will haunt me until the day I die...

Sorry, sounds like you lost it. It happens to all of us. If all the other eggs are doing well then there is nothing you do that could of caused it. I always leave it in until it starts to look nasty. Good luck with the rest!

Ok... Update on my little troubled egg. It has been 4 days now since the veins dissapeared... And the egg is still the same. It haa not started molding or smelling horrible. Can they look healthy still and be completely infertile. Minus the veins of course. It atill has a small area of peach blushing inside towards the very middle of the egg... But the tips are bright gold. Is it slowly dying?

He's more than likely already gone. And even If you cut him it wouldn't help. I'm sorry. I lost a clutch last year at About 45 days and I was mad as all hell.
