Bitis nasicornis, Rhino Viper, I believe.

These are so beautiful, I have wanted one since I first saw them.

It looks like a gaboon viper to me, I don't see the horn on the nose. Very beautiful though. Once my son is grown I plan on get a hot or 2. Until then I'll enjoy them through pictures. So post some more pics!

Oh man, I'm drooling. More pics if you can! That's definitely a rhino as opposed to a gaboon.

If I were to ever get into hots later in life, it'd probably be these guys. I'm not much of a daredevil but I am absolutely enthralled by this species.

My kids stay out of all my cages. Thats the great thing about being raised around them they know whos got venom and who doesnt and we keep pretty strick protocol around our reptiles with our kids everything is under lock down. We actually had our oldest son taken from us when when he was a baby because of the pets I kept so we fought very hard to get custody of him back and show people that it is VERY possible to Safely keep these types of animals and have a happy family at the same time.

You should see when people look into their cage they are always like is this one empty? And they will be sitting right out in the open lol. They blend in so well with cyprus mulch they basically disappear

congrats Rinos are one of my favorite Bitis. :gj: And good luck with them. I have never had any success with them. i've had 6 or 7 over the years and they have all just up and died for no reason.:(
