Not sure if this thread is going somewhere else, and definitely too lazy at the moment to try and find it if it does. So I'm going to just start this up for fun. If you're a gamer, hardcore or casual, I'm interested to know! Let's throw some gamer tags out there, meet up in the fake real world of online gaming and represent the snake community! I have boarderlands on my xbox with a high level character, but I also have it on my mac (non-steam) with a mid level charactor. I'll see if I can import my mac boarderlands into steam for co-op.

I can't remember what level my character is. I stopped playing once I finished the game the first time. I want to continue playing, but I just haven't gotten to it. Most of my friends play L4D, so I've been playing that a lot more.

I think you can import mac games into steam now that they have mac support.

I play WoW sometimes as well, but I'm currently on a 5+ month hiatus considering it's been painfully boring to play lately. I play on several servers but my main server is Dragonmaw on the Horde side.

I like games. I don't consider myself a gamer necessarily, but I won't hesitate to hop on a good roleplay/puzzle game if it's got good graphics and catches my eye. Which reminds me, I need to play Mass Effect and Half-Life one of these days.

I also am a bit of an Amnesia fanatic. :)

Amnesia scares me too much. Haha >_<
I don't do well w/ suspenseful games.

Never got into Mass Effect, but man I hear the story is epic for 1+2, but the ending to 3 ruined the whole game for a lot of people. I just came out of a 3 year hiatus for WoW thanks to resurrection scrolls, free Cat upgrade, free boosted 80, couldn't say no to all that goodness since my old guild got back into action. WoW gets boring when you're not in progression, find a good progression guild though, and push those end game content bosses, and you'll never get bored, but probably pretty angry . . .

I'm not dedicated enough for raid progression and most hardcore guilds do make me angry. I used to have a lovely close-knit guild that did weekly 10mans back during Burning Crusade and the beginning of WOTLK. Unfortunately most of those people have quit the game or left the guild, so I mostly just come for the new content and to level alts these days. I don't have time for raids either - it would probably just end up being a stressor rather than a hobby.

I only play a few games. I play madden mostly. Right now im still going HAM in Skyrim just for fun til madden 13 comes out. I also play the nhl games sometimes and forza on the rare occasion when im in the mood for a racing game. I dont have an XBL account anymore bc i dont really have time to play games that much lol. I'll hopefully end up getting to play some more once im done with this semesters classes tho. Even over the summer tho work and partying comes before video games haha!

LoL = no mac, it seemed to flop after the mac beta, sad!

WoW, yeah you need to get gear to progress, but it seems pretty simple to get geared for at least some of the 10 man stuff, which will then gear you for the 25, but YES dedication is required! I remember literally leaving during microbiology lab because the professor ran class later than it was supposed to and I had a Karazan 25 man I was suppose to lead that night!

No sports games here

Diablo III releases in just a couple of weeks though! However, there is rumor that they aren't going to have multiplayer upon release? but add that aspect at a later time??

I don't play Retial WoW only Private servers. Sorry but I am not paying $15 a month for a game. Thats 3 months of food for a snake!

Used to play WoW but leading a raiding guild got to me so I've been sticking to my board/card/rp games lately. Waiting for D3 to come out so I can use my comp again for more than just surfing forums. As for raiding in WoW, they've nerfed everything to the point that you can get carried 7/8 heroic now. Not worth it until Mysts comes out. Even then, we'll see how it compares to D3 and SWTOR.

Swtor was taking a HUGE hit of WoW clients, but for some reason Swtor starting to lose a lot of people. Then WoW started their comeback res scrolls to give people the chance to come back to the game for next to nothing . . . THEN if you subscribed for an annual pass (paid monthly, bi-monthly, or every 3 months) you got diablo III for Free and a new mount.

But yes, I miss the days of spending HOURS trying to down 1 boss in Molten Core . . . or having to craft all the gear to be able to not burn up in Black-wing Lair (I still sport my Onyxia Cloak that I made with my hunter pre-bc). That was the days of wow, but now few people will keep a toon at 60 and commit to pre-bc content. I do admit though, the new instances / heroics are a joke . . . I've died once in the process of leveling from 80-85 in the instances which is sad. . .

And I'd do private servers if my raiding buddies would join them!

It is worth every penny to get MW3, but do not settle for the older titles simply because the multiplayer is no longer supported. Invites coming out in a couple hours from me from XBL PSN and Steam if my account connects . . . love steam on macs sometimes :-)

It's because bioware kept breaking the game along with making choices that really, really pissed people off. One update they did broke higher level pvp, another ended up causing people unable to get online, then they pulled the gem where all their dedicated players got a month of free play time..Except they considered "Dedicated" to be everyone who was over a certain level.

I just started playing WOW again about a month ago after not playing for about a year. I decided to create a trail account twink. I mainly PVP anyway, so and I can do that on trial. It is pretty fun. I only have one character now, which is an affliction lock. I have almost all best in slot gear already, and am half way to the Ambassador title.

Why pay when they give it away for free?

Anybody play gears of war 3? Im on about every day. Always nice to have a full team rather then play with unreliable untalkative randoms :) gamertag is M33tya Maker

yep I play too! Not since MW3 came out :-) but I can get back in it.

and yep I had a twink rogue with the defias set from Deadmines (VC) and dual assassin's blades (pain in the butt amount of farming!) plus had life stealing enchant on them as well, man those were the days!

I hated gears. The storyline and xbl. Idk why, just didnt like it...

These days all I play is StarCraft 2... Mittens 506

I was playing BF3 for awhile but it got kinda boring.

I gotta say, first person shooters just haven't been the same since Quake and Unreal Tournament.

If anyone's ever interested in some UT3 I'd be willing to reinstall.

I've wanted to get into saint's row, but buying new video games just isn't really a financial priority at the moment, especially when I'm still enjoying SC2 just as much as I did when it was first released.

Totally agree! If a game still has life in it no need to jump on the new stuff. Wait till its a $5 used Bin game. I played BF3 for a while when it first released. But I sold it back while it was still trading in for 35 (got it for 40, gotta love amazon.com). Starcraft II is pretty good recently uninstalled though got pretty bored with it since I got back on my WoW fix.

I get on MW3 at least once during my off days. Just not seeing much off time at the moment.

I broke the WoW addiction and never looked back...

The irony is half the reason I don't have money for video games is because I just put together a new gaming rig because I had pretty high hopes for BF3.

Oh well, at least now I can play starcraft with a proper GPU, instead of using the integrated from a cheap motherboard -_-

I was a little peeved when my SSD bricked on me after only 3 months though. Still waiting on the RMA replacement to arrive...

Have you looked at the seagate hybrid SSD drives? I mean there are better options for a desktop, especially if it's built for gaming, but I installed a 750 SSD Hybrid drive in my macbook pro and this thing literally screams. Here is a video I took real briefly comparing the stock drive to the new SSD Hybrid drive. Very impressive difference!

Couldn't believe how fast it was!

Then it just went unresponsive and wasn't being detected anymore. Tried it in another computer with different cables, etc. Same deal. Sucks but I'm hoping it was just a 1 in a million case and this isn't a problem they've been having with the line.

I'm currently using an old hard drive I found in the garbage as a temporary replacement, just so I can use the computer.
