So I bought myself a rack...
The 8-tub mini V-18 rack from Chris at CSerpents, to be exact. I don't know when I'm going to fill it up, but I'm planning on getting it filled up eventually.

I also got myself a Herpstat Basic while I was at it.

So long as I'm ordering things online, is there anything else I might need? Going to get a can of Provent A Mite since I don't have one of those. I've been feeding Aradia just by holding her mouse by the tail and I don't have any trouble flinching when she strikes, but should I buy a hemostat anyways?

Unless you like the sight of your own blood, I'd definitely get some kind of feeding tongs. :) BPs aren't known for their aim, and I know mine can get pretty enthusiastic about feeding at times. Provent-A-Mite is definitely a good move, too. I also recommend either a digital thermometer with probe for measuring your hot spot, or an infrared heat gun for the same reason. This will help you tweak and monitor your thermostat (love my Herpstats). Oh, and a digital scale for monitoring her weight (and the weight of your future additions), if you don't have one already. :gj:

Aradia has pretty good aim and maybe I'm just spoiled because she gives me plenty of warning before she strikes. I have an Accurite for my tub that I could probably use for the rack...? Or should I buy another one or two? And I bought myself a super nice digital scale to replace the cheapo one I bought.

Provent a mite, feeding tongs, possibly another thermometer... Have my make the list in my head otherwise I'll forget.

I bought a whole bunch of cheap bowls and just soldered holes in them. Seems like kind of a waste to not use them, at least at first... I'm going to also have to hunt down some tip-proof water bowls... I can't find any more like the one I bought for Aradia back in January and it's so nice not to have to worry about her being a jerk and knocking it over.

You could definitely move the current Accurite to the rack. I like my IR gun as another backup so I can check the temps across all the tubs and know where the flexwatt hot spots are (not always totally consistent down the length of the tape). It sounds like you're pretty set. I'm guessing you already have a spray bottle for misting. You can pick up cheap bowls and hides (if you plan to use them) as you come across them, but there isn't a huge need until you are expecting to add snakes to use them. Oh - I would set up the rack in a room other than the one you have your current BP in. This way, you can use it for QT when you add others, and then move her into it once their QT time is up (if this is feasible for how quickly you are going to have additions).

I agree temp guns are a must have.

I'll definitely be figuring out some sort of QT system. :D

What are the general guidelines for the reptile basics hides? Is there a rough range of weights for BPs that will fit in different size hides? I like the look of the RB hides and they look much better than what I can do with a soldering iron and a 4-for-$1 bowl from Wal-Mart.

Of course it looks like I can get almost everything from Reptile Basics except for Provent A Mite. Maybe I can shop around locally and having to pay $9 for shipping on one can of Provent A Mite won't seem so bad because I won't be spending so much on shipping for everything else.

Well it turns out the roommates who were okay with me having multiple snakes actually aren't okay with it. Good thing they couldn't have said anything six hours ago before I'd ordered the rack (sarcasm). Good thing I didn't order multiple water bowls and hides and stuff (not sarcasm). :rage:
