Well after about six hours I just couldn't wait anymore..........here's a couple pics of the new guy. My first BP! Will keep the cage in our bedroom as it's sort of a christmas surprise for my son(8) and I. He's gonna be geeked! I told him the pet store wouldn't have any pythons till summer because winter is too cold to ship them  Can't wait to see his face.....we are big herp fans around here
Will post more pics as I take em!

Here's one of the shots of Steelsack's BP.

And here's another. Interesting pattern, Steel. I think the lack of the "alien eyespots" lends a neat individualism.

Oooh, very nice specimen steelsack! I love him!

Thanks, all! I noticed his eyes are a little dull and possibly a trace of a dent on the right (he shed last weekend)....not to worry, he's in well-maintained super controlled humidity now. The woman who owns the pet store I got him from is pretty on the ball, no pun inteded, but when they are stored for sale they are expected to be gone fairly soon. I'm just glad I picked him up a little earlier than I had planned so I can hook the little brother up good and proper!
Am still trying to figure out how to put the pics right in the message like you did, Hoomi. Thanks for the assist!

reminds me a lot of peanut, almost looks like a reduced morph considering there are hardly any stray black spots.

Putting the pictures in the post is pretty easy. When posting a new topic, or if you use the "Post Reply" button (rather than the convenient quick reply window at the bottom of the page), you'll get the "full menu" screen.

Between the Message Icons and the Message window are a series of "buttons", one of which is labeled "Img". If you hit that button, it will insert the tag for an image into the message box at the current location of the cursor. What I do is upload my pictures to my gallery, then open the picture I want to post in the topic. Right click the picture, and then select "Properties". In the properties window, you'll see an address for just the picture. Highlight that address and right click it, then select "copy". You'll paste that address after the image tag, then simply click the blue text up there that says "Close Tags". When the message is posted, the image will show up in the topic.

Some of the other tags up there, which can be quite useful, are "quote", which does this:

    Quote:

"B" which Bolds the text, "i" which italicizes the text and "u" which underlines the text.

take some more when shed time is over

Yeah I figured it's shed time again. I read that they grow alot in the first year......
Noticed that the little crease I saw on his eye was gone this morning, upping the humidity must have been what he needed. Is it common for them to shed often? Iv'e heard of growth spurts, but he shed like 8 days ago!
Turned down his first meal today  Am trying to switch him to PK as I don't want to risk a nasty bite! Although it is said chicks dig scars.................
Thought it was a little early for a feeding attempt, but he was flicking alot and seemed hungry. Oh well, maybe in a day or two. I'll get some pics of it no doubt
