First Ball Python :)

Here she is! Her name is Penelope. She is a Spider het Albino and weighed in at 136g today (however she did eat a f/t adult mouse on Wednesday). Born on 8/24/11 and just got her from CV exotics. Let me know what you guys think :).

Weight isn't the only factor, some will breed at 1500 g, some will not. I would breed her if she were mine.

Thank you! And I just got her from the breeder on Wednesday. She ate a f/t adult mouse on Wednesday. I was just going to feed her an adult mouse every week until she gets bigger. Should I be feeding her something larger right now?

Good looking little Spider.

Feed her 10-15% of her body weight every 5-7 days and you can't go wrong.

I would try to get her switched over to rats But that's just my personal preference.

Thanks! If I were to switch her over to rats would I be looking for rat pups? Or what size? The adult mouse left a barely noticeable bump in her if that helps at all for reference.

Yes. Start her off on rat pups, and I would feed her every 5-7 days till she reaches 350 grams. Then I would switch her to weaned rats.

I will do that thank you! I could only find small rats ~ 40g so I bought some f/t adult mice for her ~ 20g. However I'm having issues trying to get her to take it. I've tried heating in water in a plastic bag, without the plastic bag and paper towel drying, by hair dryer, both in and out of her tub, and she doesn't seem to want to take it. Last time she ate was last Wednesday. Should I be worried at all since she is still a small BP? Her husbandry is good except her cool side is low. Working on getting that side warmer with an area warmer. She spends her time between the hides on each side.

I wouldn't worry to much. Just keep offering every 5 days or so eventually she will eat. Just be patient.
