Can anyone explain to me ...
Ghosts
Orange Ghosts
Hypos
OG- Orange ghost?
POG - is pastel orange ghost?
SPOG- super?
I seen people calling the same snake two differant names.
Also i think i misunderstood someone, but are female orange ghosts gravid?
Thank you for any and all help!

Wow there's a lot to cover there......I'm sure someone will put up some links for you shortly.
But a quick tid bit. Ghost is just a cool name for hypo which is short for hypomelanistic, which means it lacks pigment giving it a "ghostly" appearance.

Yes what rob said.^
Also gravid basically means pregnant so i think you just misread something. A female OG can become gravid. But gravid in itself is only a temporary state of being. A snake cannot bw gravid all the time.

Ghost - Hypo - Hypomelanistic
Orange Ghost - Orange Hypo - Specific type of Ghost/Hypo, which also includes green, blue, and I think yellow, as well as just plain ghost
OG - Orange Ghost
POG - Pastel Orange Ghost
SPOG - Super Pastel Orange Ghost
It is entirely possible you read someone's female orange ghost was gravid, we are smack in the middle of the breeding season, so there are lots of gravid balls being talked about.

Okay, sounds good.
Another question on that. Since Ghost is recessive, what do OG and ghosts make?
thank you all for the information!

Orange ghost x orange ghost will produce all orange ghosts.
Orange ghost x het orange ghost will produce 50% ghost and 50% het OG

And OG x normal will produce 100% normal looking offspring that are all copying the OG gene. This means they are called "100% het orange ghosts".

Well, yes and no.
See, all ghosts are Hypos, but not all hypos are Orange ghosts.
As I said, Orange Ghost is a specific type of hypo. There are also Green Ghosts, Blue Ghosts, I think Yellow Ghosts and just plain old Ghosts.
Each has slightly different colors and characteristics.

I feel like Neo and just learned Kung-Fu. Great question. Great answers. I'm very new to this too. Loving this new hobby. I quit hockey, and golf for this, and having way less injuries. :gj:

Correction to your correction. :P
There is indeed one "blue ghost" that was a new morph ( or combo) at tinley.
But there has been a line of hypo's called blue ghosts for years Greg Graziani was working with them and I have been trying to get some for donkeys years. :taz:
They are not compatible with any other lines of hypo as far as I can find out.
Ironically this was why I wanted to work with them.

Fair enough, but they are not the home run Mark Petros hit this year with that honey bee x het ghost. :) that thing is just awesome.

Re: Can anyone explain to me ...
In ball pythons ghost and hypo are the same thing. The confusion come from the boa world which named the ghost morph first. Which is a combo of axanthic and hypo. In the ball python world this combo is called "True Ghost". I prefer to use Hypo over ghost.
There are a number of lines in the hypo morph. Like Snakekeeper extreme, NERD orange ghost, yellow, green and so on. Not all lines are compatible. The most common is the Orange hypo. Which is compatible with Nerd, orange, SK extreme and a line of yellow.
If you are purchasing a line of hypo just make sure it is compatible with the Orange line and you should have no problems.
