whats goin on in san diego?

Hey everyone,
I will be in san diego in a couple days for a week. what should i see and where should i go?

anyone up for being a tour guide? :D

Zoo for sure. What else you in to?

well i'm going for work. a brewers conference so im definitely gonna check out some local beer.

Mt. Soledad in Pacific Beach is well worth your time. I used to live 5 mins from there, go check it out.

Ive always wanted to visit the zoo/aqurium there!

Good to know, i hope to eventually get out there to see the zoo and other stuff. My fathers been out there a few times for business. Says the weathers always nice and it was a pretty cool place!

Maybe you can do a little historical tour of the city to learn how the Germans discovered it in 1904 and appropriately named it San Diego...which of course is German for "Whale's :cens0r:".

Only scholars know the true meaning........isn't it named after saint Diego?........no that can't be correct..........well agree to disagree.

Ok well the zoo but we where there for an entire day and still didnt see the whole thing...I would go to OLD TOWN and eat some really good burritos and drink a margarita!!

From the airport, you can look across the runway at Marines in Boot Camp. In the baggage claim area you may see new recruits getting lined up for a bus ride that will change their lives...

Zoo and Wild Animal Park. I enjoy coronado but it's a walking town.

+1 for the zoo. It's easily the best zoo I've ever been to.

The zoo is sweet, and since I get in for free, even better.

You could maybe check out local reptile shops? Malls? Delicious hole-in-the-wall food places? Ice cream shops? I don't know.

Ice cream shops! That is a capital idea.

As for the zoo, my active duty mil ID gets me in for free. Getting you that hook up is a bit of a process.....

If you are still there don't forget the Wild Animal Park. It is just as cool as the zoo. Can't argue with their success at captive breeding of endangered species either.
