what to breed my pastel to

i plan to eventually do killer clowns but am starting small, what would be good to pair with it to produce some $500+ or so offspring. I'm thinking spider because I love the look of bumblebees and would keep any I couldn't sell happily (would keep any unsold morph but would enjoy bees the most from the pastel x spider pairing) also considering mojave. what are some suggestions?

You can pick up a bee for around 400. That would give you a good chance at the killer.

I saw male bees at the expo on sunday for $300. A really nice one for $350
Pairing a mojo to her would also be good. I personally like the look of pastaves better than bees. Do what you want to produce, dont breed for the money!:gj:

Bees are good, but you might want to also consider Lessers (Lesser Pastels), Mojaves (Pastaves), or Pinstripes (lemon blasts). Pastels are great base morphs and there are so many combinations. Good luck.

what about a cinnamon or a black pastel?

I love mojos and lessers with pastels. Or even pinstripe all might be a little closer to your 500 range.

I would go for firefly's (pastelXfire).

Gotta agree with the firefly route. I think pastel seems to hide the calico feature somewhat.

I really like the idea of a pinstripe. Maybe it's because I'm getting a lemon blast and I really like them but Killer blasts and Lemon blasts can really have some great colors.

Hmm I'm thinking spider and pinstripe would love to make some bees and lemonblasts then pair them back and get some killers. Also like the idea of a fire or black pastel. what are some other good morphs to pair to pastels?

Buy a bumblebee male for $350-$400 and a Pin for $200....breed the pin to the pastel then the bumble the following year. Then breed the LemonBlast to the Killer Bee(or is it super bee?) :D
but what do I know...I'm still waiting on my pastel to lay (lemonblasts expected).
