    Just a normal?
    I'm not sure if you can really tell in babies, but I saw this little guy at PetCo the other day. He was much lighter and richer in color than the others, and even has some salmon coloring on his sides just before it goes to his belly! It's very hard to get the "salmon" coloring to show, so sorry about that. Maybe if I had a better camera, heh.

    I was wondering if he was just a nice normal, or maybe mixed with something else?
    I will post more pictures if needed.

    Pictures (note that the first few images don't show his actual brown coloring, he is lighter):

    Shows his blushing

    A little blushing on his markings (you can kind of see the "salmon" coloring)

    This image shows his actual colors. ^ If you look at the part of his body in the back (behind his neck) you can see some "salmon" coloring a bit.

    Sorry for all of the photos, I had fun with them! I also noticed his tongue is a pale color, does that help determine?

    Thanks~

    Pastels have white bellies... and the colors aren't yellow enough. Not a Pastel

    Yeah he was like that when I got him. I've been trying to soak him every day and keep his humidity up.

    He's a normal :gj:. He is a very cool and unique one though! I really like those spots and the nice blacks! The stuck shed is not just on his nose, it's on his head. In the 3rd pic from the bottom, it looks like he's got a stuck eye cap. When you soak him, put a small towel in with him so he can slither through it and have the stuck shed rub off with ease :gj:.

    No need, I can already tell you 100% that your BP isn't a pastel. This is one of my pastels for comparison.

    Looks like a funky normal to me.

    Just as I thought, no pain in making sure though c;
    He is a unique little guy, thank you!

    I will try the towel, thanks! And yeah I felt so bad for the little guys at the store, they all had stuck shed. Hopefully this little guy will be happy to have normal future sheds c;

    Thanks~

    VERY nice normal till you prove it otherwise:gj:. Definitely has some "granite-like" speckling and a clean belly. I'd keep it to play around with!

    Thanks.

    It isn't the degree of whiteness that defines a pastel, it is the absence or dark spots. I should have made that clear, sorry.

    I would love to mess with it when I have the room, so maybe some future babies! c:

    I adore him! I agree he looks like a normal, but I love those spots and speckles in his alien heads. He's definitely unique.

    And as for pastel bellies being clear and white, here's my pastel girl's belly for any future references:

    That is sure a little cutie!

    As much as I can't stand poor pet shops, and I don't like the perpetual cycle of neglected snakes-person feels bad and buys them-store buys more snakes to neglect, I don't know if I could have walked away from him either.

    Such a unique pattern he's got, or maybe she ? Did you get it sexed ?

    Well, if that is a girl, I'd call that a major score on your part.

    I mean, if you wanted to breed it in the future.
