Finally ate after 8 months or so off feed
So this little lady finally decided that anorexia was not the way.
It was just a week or 2 ago that I had contemplated assist feeding..
Guess she knew what I was thinking.
And decided no one was forcing her to munch.
She went from 1000.00grams to 640+/-

This gives me hope! My albino boy has been refusing since october last year! When I was feeding my other snakes, I left 2 rats in his tub while I waited for 2 of my BPs to finish rat #1. I played a game or 2 of team deathmatch on COD, but when i went back to grab the rats, 1 was missing. This strategy hasn't worked since then, but he's gone from 1200 gms to a little over 1000. Probably less now but I don't do weigh-ins til the end of the month.. Much more exciting that way!

WOOOO! That's the most exciting thing. I have a boy who has been refusing food for MONTHS so I know how frustrating this can be. Congrats!

Indeed. She's only a year ans a half and the few others I have that are the same year born (2010) she's the smallest.
My others have already tipped the scales over 1000grams and keep climbing.
Save for my bumble bee. She just got off her fast as well and is back over 1000g.

Good news that she's finally eating again! Can't believe she only lost 400 ish grams in 8 months.

BTW, her pattern is very cool!

Eight months, wow! My record's three months and it drove me crazy. She looks fine though, very pretty. Good luck & hope she starts eating enough to make up for lost time.

    Yeah I was extremely worried.
For a week or so she had a wheezy sound breathing but had no discharge so I think it was a very long but not too serious RI
I never saw any swelling on her neck or mucus coming from her nostrils or on the walls of her tub from sneezing.
To anyone with a ball fasting for this long
Don't give up hope just keep them happy and warm

My lesser male has been refusing for a long time, I finally had some excess mice (he was a strong hitter on rats before he went off), and he banged down the mice.

So, I have a pastel female who's doing the same thing (fasting) and I offered her some mice, and she's refusing those as well. Just keeping an eye on her.

    Your girl is a hottie!

I have a male BP who has been off feed now for around 8 months as well. :(
He was a solid 1,245 grams when eating, now down to about 1000 grams. I'll have to try mice and see if he eats those, he's been outright refusing rats, which used to be all he would touch.
I also had a female BP who was off feed for about 5-6 months, she actually GAINED some weight while not eating (what??? no i'm serious), and also just ate two weeks ago, only to not eat this week. -_-
Now my other BP Nergal who usually eats every week won't eat, and even one of my corn snakes only ate one mouse fuzzy and then decided she was done.
Tis' the season for feeding strikes I suppose. It's very stressful but they'll be alright. They know what they're doing food wise even if we have no clue!

Well one outta 2 ain't bad.
She'll eat soon I hope to let that gloom off your head. I wish they were like dogs.. mine eat no matter if they are hungry or not. (Basset hounds)

Thanks she's nice reduced pattern so I want to pair her to my albino next season if she's up to size. She'll be just over 2 years old next season so maybe.
