spiders at expos
hey everyone i think i am going to the next mannasa va reptile expo and was thinking of getting a male spider instead of a male yellow belly and was wondering if you think i could get a decent male spider at a reptile expo for like around $115
-
Probably. A really nice one may be a bit more, just depends on factors like quality, neuro, and number available.
-
Not sure how much spiders usually go for, but there are usually plenty of bps at the manassas show. I want to bring home some myself but my living situation only allows for 1 at the moment. Good luck either way. I know you will find someone great to take home with you!

I thought you were looking for females for your future project?

I bet you can find a mojo for around that price at a show.
People tend to price their animals at a 'show special'. So the chances are good.

A male mojave for $115 is a bit of a stretch imo. I see nice spider males for $125 at shows though.

i already have a normal female i was going to get a adult female but i decided i would wait until my female grows up and in the mean time i will get a male so that way by the time she is ready the male should be ready too

I see where you're coming from. Of course, if you found a nice female morph you're interested in, you could start growing her out, and always add a male later.
Either way, it's hard to go wrong adding more BPs :gj:

I will agree with Mike here. The only way I see you getting a mojave for $115 is if it is a really crappy example of the morph. $125 for a male spider sounds about right.

Black pastels aren't too expensive...cinnys have really gone down in prices too, I've seen many hatchling males for $175 +

Honestly, you never know what you will find, for how much, at a show. I have seen poor quality, poor health animals for sale for crazy high prices, and I have seen awesome, high quality animals for dirt cheap. Also, you can get good deals towards the end of the show sometimes. You might also be really nice and complimentary with a seller, maybe return to the table a few times, and try to work a deal if you see something you like (without being a pest)! Remember, your not going to petco, the prices at shows are not set in stone! Oh, and if you do see a great deal on something you want, don't hesitate for long, it will probably sell fast!

I got my cinny male for $125 and he threw in a normal female for free. He was a big name seller, but i ha talked with him for awhile about projects he had going on and what not. His wife was there too and she was very nice.

Depending on how sellers are feeling that day black pastel, cinnamon, yellow belly, spider and pastels can be in that range but your probably going to get what you pay for
