Cage size ok
Hi I have a female pastel almost 500g and was wondering if this is a good size cagehttp://img.tapatalk.com/a6937b1a-ab04-7b17.jpg

Looks a little small to me. She'll grow out of it fast at that size anyway. What substrate is that?
-
I agree with Rebelrachel13, that looks pretty small
How do you intend on creating a thermal gradient for your BP?
-
Yup, a little on the small side as the others have said. I'd probably upgrade to a 32qt around that size with hides on both ends...
-
Little small even for a BP. Just go grab your self a bigger tub there cheap enough. Just remember its about ground size not height.

I agree it's small
Substrate looks like Echo Earth
-
That substrate looks to be a bit on the damp side. I would be very careful...you don't want your BP to develop scale rot. See the condensation on the sides of the tub? That means your humidity is a bit too high.

It is zoomed coconut fiber Eco-earth
-
Ok the humidity problem is fixed. Does my pastel look at all like it has the spiderish markings on the sides? Also does she look too thin?
-
No Spider on that pastel, but it is a nice pastel none the less. She looks healthy.
How are you heating the cage and providing a hot & cool side?
-
Your BP could really use a larger tub. A 32 qt with one hide each on the warm and cool ends would work just fine.
How did you fix the humidity problem?
And agin, how are you heating the tub?
-
I have the zoo med heat rope only on one side. The temp In the room sets out the other side well. I fixed humidity by changing to paper towel. The Eco earth worked too well!
