Not a very good looking Lesser...and the paradox stain only makes it worse.

Are the scales different shape or texture? If not it is likely a paradox mark. Not the best looking lesser I have seen IMO. I also prefer paradox to be more striking, like a spot of no joke normal pattern and color.

Looks a perfectly nice lesser with a paradox spot to me. I like it but each to their own I suppose.

Picture isn't the best, but what I like in a lesser is bright coloration and high contrast. The body should be bright, even chocolatly brownish gold, the markings light creamy beige/tan. Lots of blushing is a must. Pattern is subjective.

This looks like a mid-grade lesser. Not spectacular, but not terrible.

This is my butter girl. Really similar morph, and she's grade A to me.

I'd say paradox but it also looks to be going into shed )and that's not the best pic) so it could turn out to be a nice looking snake.

He was going into blue and I agree that pic stinks! I bought him and brought him home on Saturday, set him up and offered food on Tuesday (everyones normal feeding day) and he devoured it ( while still in shed). He's definitely not shy when it comes to food. :D
I think he's cute and his paradox spot makes him unique. He is only 171 grams but a lesser boy that I like with a paradox that eats on the 1st try and for only $175....I'm in love with him already lol!

The little guy shed this morning (and tipped his water dish) so I snagged a couple pics while his tub got fresh paper towels...

He looks a lot better now that he's home!

If you are happy with him then it doesn't matter if he's a perfect example of a lesser or not.

If it makes any difference, i would have bought him too. Congrats!:gj:

He looks much better than he did at the show imo. Maybe it was just poor lighting?

I wasn't a fan when you posted the first set of photos, but seeing him after the shed :eyepoppin

You made an outstanding choice to pick him up!

IIRC there is a ball python morph that can be identified by two or three black spots along the body but it's not a paradox. Unfortunately I can't find the post showing the markers or any pictures by googling it.

I googled "paradox lesser" and many other people have hatched out lessers that have the same band of dark pigment in the same general area (others all over the body)...I guess this "paradox" has been popping up in lessers quite frequently.
