I thought his eyecaps both came off last shed, but it sure doesn't look like it now. Maybe he's just damaged his current cap since he is close to shedding time? hmmm.
Anyway, thought I'd introduce him. He's a.. dirty pastel, i guess. roughly two years old.

Haha cool snake and name, reminds me of dr. Snuggels

Hopefully the pictures are working again, had some problems with the host last night.

No dice on the pics for me.

Oops. now it should be good :irkd:

Here's one from when he was younger, and not close to shed so a little brighter.

I don't think he's a brownie pastel :gj:.

If his eyes appear as if they have cracks in them, his humidity is definitely too low. Spray the enclosure down every day until you see that go away. If it helps, then you need to find a way for your enclosure to hold humidity better unless you want to constantly mist the cage :gj:.

Yeah, it's been pretty dry lately. I made him a moist hide but he doesn't seem too big on it...
I think I'll switch him back to the coconut stuff (eco earth?) asap, especially with him shedding soon. That seemed to keep things humid a lot better, but I was worried about it being too humid... maybe I'll put it on one side, paper on the other.

Is the 26c the cool side or warm side?
-
You know, I don't remember. That side of the tank is his cold side now, but I've moved it once or twice. Must have been the hot side then...?
That thermometer doesn't seem to work very well anyway, I stick a dial thermometer into the substrate now, seems to give me a better reading.
-
Sure hope its not his warm side temp as that iso nly 78F. That should be the cool side temps with at 29-31c Warm side(88-90F)
-
His current setup is usually about 24 on the cold side and 30ish on the hot (75 and 88). That's his cold side now, but I can't really remember what was going on in the picture, maybe it was then too. :)
Seems to use both sides, but hangs more often on the warmer side.
