What's the Best Deal/Steal You've Gotten?

I've gotten some stellar deals from a friend of mine lately and I've seen where some other folks over the years have had some as well. So let's see your best deals. Most already know mine but I will list out below. All from the same friend who decided to get out of breeding:

Deal 1:

• 2 AP Economy Racks - Holds 6 32 qts/12 15 qts each. Included tubs and PVC couplers for water bowls.
• Female Pastel 1600g
• Female Pinstripe 1200g
• Female Normal 1400g
• Female Normal 2200g
• All for $500

Deal 2:

• Male Albino 1100g
• Male Super Pastel 1100g
• Female Fire 900g
• All for $550

Deal 3:

• 2 New Helix Tstats
• $200

Deal 4:

• Het Albino Female 2300g - Came gravid bred to Pewter Het Albino
• $500

Deal 5:

• Normal Female 3000g - Came gravid bred to Kingpin
• Normal Female 3400g - Came gravid bred to Enchi Yellowbelly
• Normal Female Pos Het ? 3400g - Came gravid. Sold as normal but not bred by my friend.
• All for $300

Ive gotten 4 normal females for free. 3 over 1800 g, 1 as a hatchling as our first snake.

Free hatchling male pinstripe.

Male butter for $125 due to breeding loan.

Male spider $75 as a three way gift to my friend. He stays at my house and we "trade" breeding for feeding him. She does get pick of a hatchling when she wants.

Traded a poison dart frog tank set up for a 800 g pastel female.

We haven't purchased a majority of our snakes for full price. Only my het pied pair.

I think yours still beats mine though!

Well mine don't come close to yours but I have 2 deals that I like.

1) 2 for 1 deal on rubbermade 2221 bins. I bought 10

2) Pastel het red axanthic het orange ghost male for 100 bux

Female Pied for $700 almost three years ago.
Right now she's gravid with some double het eggs.

Honestly, I will not divulge deals I have gotten. Most are worked out with the other person for less than market, and revealing them sets an expectation for other folks. I would only talk about it if the prices were already public.

With that said, wow you got some smoking deals. Right place right time for sure.

About a month ago we scored this one locally:

'09 male pastel (big boy and an excellent example of the morph)
3-50qt or so tubs with custom locking lids, pre-wired heat tape and BAH-1000 thermostat
40ish frozen feeder rats

A few days after:

3 tub 41qt melamine rack for $35. I was able to convert it to 2-41qt, 1-28qt and 1-12qt.

Quite a while back we rescued:

'09 male spider
'09 female normal (700g)
2 harlequin crested geckos
'09 female hypo red tail
male red tail (which unfortunately had to be put down)
adult blue tongue skink (I regret getting rid of this guy, he was really neat!)
1-55 gallon, 1-40 gallon, 1-30 gallon, 2-20L, a bunch of hides and decorations
All the screen lids for the tanks
A bunch of feeders

Free.

Edit: Forgot one. Not the best deal ever, but she is an exceptional pinstripe if you ask me.

I got my first normal girl from work for free. Bought an adult male spider for $90 and got a male juvi blood python the owner couldnt get to eat. (he ate for me as soon as i got him home) sold both for $125 each. I'll take that deal number 5!

1 10 tub adult ball python rack with heat and tubs
14 various corn snakes
2 adult normal ball pythons

Also recently picked up an awesome, 1900 gram, NERD line male pastel for $50.

My best deal was on a male DH Lavender Snow along with a pair of 2 year old 50% PH Lavender Albino females for $225. Both females have been bred to the male and are going to lay this year. :please:

My best deal (which wasn't really a deal) was a 3 tub adult 41qt AP rack, Herpstat 1, 300g Spider female, 700g OG male, and 700g OG female for $700.

Hands down my Fire Mojave female.

The seller ran a local reptile store and doesn't really use the internet. He's not computer literate. He basically added the prices of the two morphs together so I promptly drove 3 hours each way to buy her.

We have found a couple pretty good deals.
1. Pinstripe Female 800 grams for $200
Was dehydrated when we got her and after she soaked for the first 2 weeks we had her and had 1 meal was up to 1050 grams. We got her in August of 2011 and she was up to 1600 grams and ready to breed by December.

2. Mojave Female 700 grams
Pastel Female 200 grams
7 high rat rack with about 70 rats; Plus a 1-4 breeding group of ASF's
and we ended up selling most of the rats to a local store for $150
Our Coca-Cola double sliding door Incubator that will hold about 25 clutches.
All for $1000

At a show and got

1.2 100% Het Genetic Stripes BP (male unrelated)
1.0 ?? Spider (very odd spider that breeders' hired help messed up and couldn't remember what bin he came out of when all was said and done)
$200

Would love to find a male for that! My double het female needs a boyfriend.

Had someone give me two adult spider females once.

Other than that, I typically don't get good deals, or even discounts.

Your deals were amazing. The closest I have to that is a female crestie I got for free from craigslist. She was gravid when I got her.

I also got a nice deal on my female fire. She was bought as a male for only $150 and she eats like she will never get fed again. :P

What sexes were the butters?

I forgot to add my best deal in my first post. I got my cinny male for $125 and the breeder gave me a free normal female for my younger stepbrother who wanted his first snake. So i got a cinny male, whom i Loveeee, for like $100. Not really a steal compared to some of the deals in this thread, but hopefully ill get lucky and get a good one someday :p
