Unusual spieds!

First clutch of the season to hatch and I could not be happier! Hit some crazy odds on this one...out of a 5 egg clutch from spider het pied x het pied, got 4 spiders- two of which are spider pieds! On top of it, they are far from "average" spieds. They are Roussis line, which can sometimes pop out completely patternless black-eyed leucistics. Unfortunately both are girls so they are going to be for sale, and whichever doesnt sell first I will keep.

Happy for you! I personally would have liked to see more pattern and less white. But I have read that this happens all the time with this paring.

Thanks, everyone! Trust me...struck out MANY more times on the odds than I did hitting on them like with this clutch.

I like spieds, I wish spieds would have more pattern tho. I wonder if there is a way to get more pattern into them? There was a post a few months ago from someone that hatched spieds that had a little bit of color on the body. I wonder how those are looking...
