How much does gasoline cost in your area?

Like most areas, lately we've seen quite the spike at the pump here in New Hampshire. Paid $3.86 per gallon today!!

How much is gasoline in your area and how are you cutting back to cope with the rising costs?

Where in NH? I'm in Burlington, VT and I paid 4.05/gal yesterday :/

Im already starting to look around to trade my beloved blazer in for something more fuel efficiemt...

I am near Manchester

3.79/gallon for regular here, but my car only drinks premium (yes, it needs it - turbocharged + fairly high compression - I'd make less power *and* get worse gas mileage if I fed it regular), so I'm right at about $4/gallon lately. Sad to remember that only a few years ago, we were complaining about gas at $2.50/gallon. That'd seem downright cheap now...

I'm lucky, I have a fairly small, fairly fuel efficient car. Its a whole two mile commute to work, and I can walk to my college from my apartment.

I can walk downtown, I can walk uptown, and now that its starting to warm up, I'm more willing to walk than drive. I'm daring myself to use less than 3 fill ups of gas this summer (june 1st to august 31st) not counting any currently unplanned trips to reptile conventions.

Your situation sounds ideal for the rising costs. I wish I lived somewhere within reason of anything. I live in the middle of nowhere with a 20 mile commute to work. :sweeet:

4.14 to 4.24 on regular here in WA. My Dakota is using $110 in gas a week! I really need to find a job closer to home, I'm making a 75 mile round trip 5 days a week....

Filled up for $3.82 the other day. I noticed that It's already higher then that today. Time to dust off the bicycle after a winter break. Boy am I going to be sore for the next month...

Thankfully we have a decently fuel efficient car and our grocery store gives you $.10 discount for every $100 you spend on groceries up to $1 per gallon.

too much... haha but no really i put premium (93 octane) in the stang since i run a race tune as my daily driver (too much fun haha) and i paid two arms and 3 toes.. aka $4.08.. which is low last week i paid $4.15

and yes i run premium by choice haha id rather pay a few extra bucks for the added fun i get from driving my 93 octane tune compared to 87. the people who understand what i just said understand what i mean and why i do it haha

ever consider switching over to e-85? but were paying $4.1?-4.50 ish depending on grade. E-85 is 2 an change right now by me

mid $3.92-$4.21
Premium $3.94-$4.34

And Diesel........... $ $3.98-$4.46

It was $3.89 this evening in Springfield, IL. I was down by St. Louis today and it was about the same down there.

$3.81 is the most I've seen in metro Atlanta.

I'm coping with the rising costs by move to Columbus, GA. :P

Seriously - my job is relocating me to Columbus at the beginning of May. My commute in Atlanta is 40 miles round trip with 35 stop lights each way - so lots of stop and go driving, which is hell on my fuel efficiency.

In Columbus - my round trip commute will be about 10 miles with maybe 2 lights.

It's getting to the.point now in which its ridiculous. I mean we go to sleep.one night an wake up, You know gas.is 5 cents higher..that's okay.. but when you go to.sleep and wake up.And gas is 25 cents higher or more, its ridiculous.

Serpent merchant, (sorry can't get mobile to quote) I feel sorry for.you, and know your pain.. our Jeep gets 250 miles to a tank.. 19 gallon tank.. you know that's okay. Its a V8 with a larger engine, I forget the exact x.x thingy.. (bad with cars) and it's a 94' So I guess I can't complain to.much...

Now my dads truck.. Omg..... 250 IF WE'RE LUCKY to a full 25 gallon tank... That's horrible, especially for a 98 Dodge ram 1,500.. but hey.. its fun to drive a truck on a lift kit. :) especially when little speeding Prius and Mercedes can fit under it. :P
