    No more abbreviations for me!
Can't call her my "GF" anymore, because she put a ring on my hand on Friday! It still sounds weird to both of us to say "husband" and "wife," but I'm sure it'll seem completely normal soon. :)

The extra sugary cute part is that after we set the date, she looked back at a calendar and realized that it was, completely by accident, the 10-year anniversary of our first kiss.

I didn't get that she proposed. It sounded like she put the ring in his finger during the wedding ceremony.

OP, you just have a new abbreviation. DW - for Dear Wife. Congratulations to both of you!

rabernet's got it right about what I meant by "put a ring on my hand." We got married on Friday, not engaged. Thanks to all for the congratulations. :)

Dont worry, the choke chain loosens up after a couple of years, on 20+ here but its because no matter where I leave her she always finds her way home:O:rofl:

    Haha thanks.

After 10 years together, I'm pretty sure I know what I got myself into by marrying her, and so far, the ring doesn't feel too heavy. Glad to hear you're happy in your marriage. (At least, I think that's what you meant.) :)

I've been married awhile now and it's still weird saying husband/wife. Good luck!

I dunno... I would be commenting more that your bride was so geeky as to smuggle light & sound lightsabers into the wedding photoshoot without even you suspecting...

    Or so I heard...

    Congrats ;)
