First Clutch-8 Eggs!

Yes! Finally! I have fantasized about the day when I could at last have my own "First clutch" thread and now it's happening!

Last night I was checking on my 2 yr old normal and lo and behold she was wrapped around a bunch of pearly white eggs. I had bred her a few times to my butter male starting last October, but I wasn't sure if she was gravid because this is my first time and I missed her ovy.
I was pretty surprised that she had 8 eggs because this is her first breeding and she isn't that big but 8 eggs is great!
I also think there is one slug in there, when I candled it, there were only faint veins in one spot and nothing else. It was also outside her coils when I checked on her.

Hopefully we will be getting ours in the next few days.

If it has veins then it isnt a slug. Crossing my fingers it makes it! Im waiting for my virgin ivory to drop in a few weeks and Id love a clutch that size.

Hhmmm... when I started pairing, she was about 1600-1700 and by the time she laid, about 2000.

Congrats on the healthy eggs!!

I believe one of my females is in her pre lay shed so I'm excited! My first year breeding on my own. I've had my buddy breed my females for me last season, but now it's all me!! Lol
