Will he shed in his hide?
Barry was in his blue eyed state Saturday and into sunday. He hasn't left his hide. I just checked on him and don't see any signs of a shed. Will he shed IN his hide..or venture out at some point?

    Should I be concerned?

He may shed in his hide or he may shed outside of his hide. Nothing to be concerned about.

He will likely shed in his hide. No need to be concerned, increasing the humidity will help ensure a one piece shed.

I've seen about 70/30, with the 70 sheding inside the hide.

Yup, nothing to worry about. That's where I find most of my sheds.

    He finally shed!!!

I actually checked his hide on the hot side, and he was gone! He moved to his hide on the cool side... He shed on the warm side , but moved at some point.. Any idea why?

And his shed was in 2 foot long pieces with a handful of smaller bits.. Is that good?

I really appreciate all the responses on this!

It's best if it is all in one piece but for your first shed sounds like a good start. He might have moved to the other hide for numerous reasons... Nothing to worry about.

Haha, sometimes mine shed in their hides, though as they've gotten older I've done away with hides and I can't say now whether they would or not, but it's nothing unusual. My boyfriend's BP will do this thing where he curls up in his hide and rotates round n' round in the substrate until the shed comes off. Pretty entertaining, and makes some funny churning noises in the night
