    Yellow Belly??
I bought her a few months ago as a het pied. I am wondering does she also look like a yellow belly or could it be just a nice normal?

I'm not seeing a yellow belly. She does have a unique look to her with some nice flames/blushing/pattern. Very nice, if she was sold to you as het pied that probably all she is. Either way very beautiful snake.

I never seen a Yellow Belly in the flesh so dont know what to look for but the blushing, flames and pattern isnt like any off my other normals. So thought i may have been lucky.

Shes been bred with a pied this season so back to trying to prove her as het, Might even have a baby with similar markings as her and try a dinker project.

Definitely a lovely normal het pied. Or possible het pied.
One of the distinguishing features of yellowbellies are the unmistakeable checkered sides to the belly.

This might help you pick it out : http://www.ball-pythons.net/forums/s...s...-Het-Ivory

Would she be worth trying a dinker project with after i prove if shes a het or not?

She was bought as a 100% het.

Many of the het pieds I've seen have a pretty distinct pattern that make them "not quite normal." The two I have are funky-patterned with striped tails and much bolder coloration. My point is, dink around with her if you want, but my money would be on that pied gene causing the variations from normal.

Dont know if anyone remembers or is aware of a line of yellowbellies that krumrine produced that dont have the tell tail yellowbelly checkering. I have one of those females that produced an ivory in 2010 and bred her to a lemon pastel yellowbelly het albino this year. Will post pics of babies when they hatch.

Het pieds often look a little funky--I'd say she just looks like a het pied. Nothing too terribly wild going on.

Would love to see pics :gj:

As for this snake, there's nothing about it that looks yellowbelly, but it's a very good looking snake :)
